Looks good. Looks very slow but reads it well, looks pretty press resistant higher up the pitch didn’t see enough of how he deals with it when hes being pressed in build up.

If it means not having to see McGregor as our lone 6 again then yes please.

Looks good but too slow for me..

I can't go anymore lack of pace in that midfield..

Reminds me a bit of Bitton, but less shitebaggy..

I'd happily see a freestanding fridge freezer in our midfield, as long as it could smash somecunt (hopefully a hun pler)

Rio Ave not taking their buy option. Don’t know if this makes it an easier or harder deal to do with Besiktas as they may want to keep him.

Probably just using our name to put pressure on them to take up the option then

I think we could afford to have a slower CDM, with McGregor pushing up and another quicker CM being brought in to challenge Engels (Mulligan could be a shout). Punt Bernardo and Holm.

Real Madrid and Arsenal are ready to pay £51m for a mobile, ball-playing CDM in Zubimendi. Liverpool were heavily linked with him last summer as well, but he opted to stay at his beloved Sociedad. BR's style is similar to Arteta's. We got a Zubimendi type of CDM in McGregor. No need for a slow-moving, physically-imposing CDM.

Callum McGregor is not a CDM, as much as he might try to play that role.

It’s why we look so exposed so often in Europe.

Too bad both BR and Ange disagree with you. If we wanted a physically imposing CDM, we would have signed one by now. Last ones were Abildgaard and Kwon who hardly ever played.

More like a Turkish Nir Bitton.

If Rodgers is indeed targeting this guy then clearly he doesn't disagree.

It's quite obvious we miss this profile of player in the squad.

We definitely can’t afford any less pace in the midfield.

Our lack of mobility and spaces we left killed us so many times.

Two years have passed since the start of his 2nd spell. He had 4 windows to buy a conventional CDM instead of CalMac. At the very least, he doesn't consider it a priority.

Just because we don't have a player like him in the squad, it doesn't mean we actually need one. The game has evolved. Mobility and work rate are more important than height and physicality. Both BR and Ange clearly prioritize pace over strength, and for good reason. The last elite manager who relied heavily on physicality was Mourinho who isn't getting elite jobs anymore.

Despite recent reports from Portugal [A Bola] linking the club to Turkish midfielder Demir Ege Tiknaz, CeltsAreHere can confirm the 20-year-old is not currently on the radar at Lennoxtown. Sources close to the club have made it clear that while Tiknaz may have attracted outside attention, there has been no internal push to pursue a deal.

Fair enough bud. I just don't want anymore slowish types in just now..

The midfields too one paced as it is..

We need an injection of it across the side, we can see the damage the likes of Kuhn and Maeda do against the top sides..
