    Just heard one, that the final lost against Aberdeen is the first time fans who are 23 have had a Scottish Cup loss in their lifetime, a good portion of probably upto 30 odds would have no memory of ever not winning one. In a period we have played more finals than any other point in our history.

    2002 against the Huns was the last before then.

    and thats wild

    Had so many good ones but that 2002 one is still so vivid.

    * horrible experience.

    Probably sticks out more bcoz its the last that didn't go our way. Although 99 was bad too

    People around my age (41) grew up with this narrative that the Huns were the establishment club yet in reality they hage had 1 good decade since the 60s.

    We may have only recently overtook them in trophy count but in reality there are very few folk alive that saw a Huns team win vast majority of their trophies.

    For pretty much everyone alive Celtic have been the dominant team every decade bar the 90s and we all know that wasn't done on a level playing field

    I was 15 before l realised Celtic couldn't win the league. Even that season when we were trailing the scum l was confident we would catch them up cos we always did.

    Between 1966 and 1974 Celtic were in 5 European semi finals. You didn't know any different

    After Real Madrid knocked us out in the 1980 quarter finals we never knew it would be another 23 years before we played European football after Christmas

    I think most of us appreciated how things have been recently and weren’t too bothered about losing the Final against Aberdeen - aye after game it hurt and next day you’re thinking about what could have been - but we’ve been spoiled rotten last few years! It was actually cool to see a big club and city like Aberdeen have their parade and all of that to be perfectly honest that’s what football is all about.

    It’s one of those if I sat and thought about seriously then I’d say aye obviously 2002 but first reaction hearing that was surely no, there’s other ones there somewhere. 23 years, 2002 included, we’ve had 13 Scottish Cup finals, 11 wins.

    Aberdeen game stings but * *

    Winning has become too normal for a lot of our fans. What we have been doing is definitely not normal and its taken for granted.

    As a club i think we should have a much better team on the park but i don’t expect a treble every season
