I heard earlier this week we would be sticking a bid in for Lennon


Same guy who told me about asking about Kyogo

 

Pretty much the perfect profile without being suited to being a number 8 in our system.

Would need to develop into a 6 in the Cal Mac mould or kick on as a creator to be an 8. Really want hum tho

 

He’s played deep lying, box to box, AM and as almost a 10 for Motherwell at various times and excelled any place he’s been placed.

That would make him ideal for the role we have for the two infront of Calmac. Who are all they roles depending on how we approach a game. And a auxiliary winger a * of a lot of the time in that role as well at Celtic. Miller done that role against us, and ran riot at Parkhead for them. But lacked the quality around him to really make it memorable, sure he set up a goal from wide and smashed the post twice that game though.

We’ve * it now though. Making his international debut has just raised his price and profile even more.

think we’ll bid something well below what they want and he’ll be away to Italy or Germany

 

I have been desperate to sign him since that day, he oozes quality and maturity but see if you were in his shoes you’d probably be looking at us and thinking every player signed within our league the last decade have never kicked on.

Personally I am looking for more creativity from our next number 8 but i think he can develop in any of the midfield roles.

 

I don't think him playing in a losing friendly against Iceland really raises his profile.

 

‘International’ is all that will matter to Motherwell when clubs come calling

 

Clubs will look at context though. Also clubs will no Motherwell are selling this summer whether they like it or not. They can't say that they need their Scotland international. They aren't winning anything with or without him and £5m above is more than any prize money he could help them earn.

 

Think they'll get about 7m for him eventually.
