Neither Brown nor Kennedy will be our next manager. I think Brown will go to Hibs after Gray leaves, and I think Kennedy will go a similar path.

Neither will be the next manager after Brendon.

I would be fine if he got a new deal, but i wouldn't be rushing to offer one yet, things can get stale after 3 seasons and we are already seeing at after 2.

100% happy for him to stay next year, if he did leave, I'd be a bit worried going into next season.

The club are seemingly willing to push on and invest heavily this summer, but if Rodgers isn’t signing a new deal then that definitely complicates things. Yet again highlights why we need a better structure in place.

A manager signing a new deal shouldn't complicate anything, to be honest.

Tisdale is there to act as the Head of Recruitment and he should have a succession plan in place in case Rodgers does decide to leave. I highly doubt that Brown and/or Kennedy will be near the discussions. In fact, the summer Ange left was the closest I've seen to Kennedy leaving, as Ange clearly wanted to take both him and Strachan down there and both wanted to move until Rodgers confirmed he had asked them to stay. So, it wouldn't suprise me if he did leave to move somewhere else that both Kennedy and Stachan went with him and that's not a bad thing.

What we need to make sure is that there are early discussions being had with the agents of managers to see exactly where they are and where we are. They will need to follow on from what has already been done here. If Slot can do it at Liverpool after Klopp, there is no reason why a manager can come in and takeover the most dominant domestic team of all time and carry on the building of our squad.

I still have a feeling that Rodgers will stay, though. All the wee soundbites coming from him during the final few games of the season made it sound like he wanted to be here beyond his 3 years.

Aye we shouldn't be hesitating just because of the manager situation. That's essentially saying OK let's risk not winning the title and just see what happens

Tbf as I type that out it is very celtic-like. Would be a great excuse for the board to not spend.

One of the Lads in the group chat over in Majorca just now for a golfing holiday bumped into Brendan

Asked him about his new deal and was told I’ll see you next season at Celtic Park

With a wee wink as he walked away

A forward-thinking club would sign players that suit a certain style and manager and keep to that style when looking for a new manager. That way you don't need a total clean-out and the new manager could work with the current squad and just add a small amount of new players.

But that would make sense and our billionaire owner is busy with golf so, sorry, no time to implement that sort of thing.

Tbh, I wouldn't give him a new contract yet. Would wait at least till the first derby to see if he actually learnt anything from this season. If he doesn't and where not in front during autumn, I would check if possible successors are available. Maybe ask Knutsen if he is ready to leave Bodo?

If Rodgers succeeds at improving as during summer, we can discuss a new contract. But I think we should see results first.

He has a contract that covers next season.

    Am I missing something?

Probably the main thing you're missing is that Crow is talking jobbies

I think how we back him this window and what ambition we show or not will directly decide for BR if he wants to sign an extension or not.

He won’t entertain doing so before the window, we promised the world to get him back, then for two windows proved ourselves liars. For the outlay this year, if the whispers around the club are to be believed it was Rodgers going to Desmond and forcing the issue, whispers I believe because in that talk at the time it was BR wanting rid of Mark Lawwell as part of that after January his first season.

And 2 weeks later after they rumours, he left, then in summer BR got backed.

And he will be saying back me, I’ll sign up. Show me I should.

He won’t trust us saying sign up, and we will. Because history shows, we’re full of *. If we don’t, he’ll not be here after next season and possibly similar with him to Leicester, when he has a good option during the season. If we fully back him, hr’ll sign after the window shuts.

Just my read on it, might be a pile of *, reading between lines that have * all to read into. But I’m confident of it

Hes no signing on any longer. Just hope we have an idea of who will takeover. He's came and done his 3 years and will leave. Bet this year will be his best aswel. Treble for last and a healthy goodbye.

You may be right. Suppose only time will tell.

I'd quite like it not to linger on though. Would be good to get some clarity either way.

Agreed, I think we need to get in a specialist set piece coach to work on this.
