    Revisionism.

His bang average was much better than bang average.

Would we take him back for a reduced fee, if say...Maeda went for big money to England this summer?

Just no way he should come back. He was massively on the decline for quite some time before leaving. We can do much, much better. Loved him to bits in his prime though. I would even prefer to bring bak giorgios giakoumakis oven Kyogo as he suits the current style much more and was extremely underrated which he have shown everywhere he have played and scored for fun.

It was rumoured to be close for a long time before that happened. I kinda hope I’m right, because that’s hilariously racist that. They had a picture and his name and everything did they not? But American’s not bothering to try and pronounce a Japanese name and scan over it the way you do with a word you don’t know, feels on brand.

Here is a picture of the person who put the announcement on the MLS website, so up to you to decide why they put Kyogo up.

I think he was close to signing for Atlanta but I think the chance of us getting Jota back from Rennes changed it.

He was rumoured to have taken the huff last summer when we didn't let him move to the MLS.

Rennes Transfer Market: Kyogo Furuhashi on Bournemouth's radar
Recruited last winter, Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi is already expected to leave Stade Rennais. Among the clubs interested is Bournemouth, who just finished 9th in the Premier League.

Recruited at the request of former coach Jorge Sampaoli, he played very little under Habib Beye, who preferred the emergence of young Kader Meïté to strengthen his attacking line. The player wants to leave and remains highly valued across the Channel, where Bournemouth, according to our information, have positioned themselves to find out the terms of his exit.

The English club, 9th in the Premier League, has a nice financial windfall after the sale of Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid. Closely monitoring the French market, it is also monitoring the situation of Adrien Truffert, whom Rennes would like to extend but whose intention is to leave with one year left on his contract (2026)

Stade Rennes have reportedly held "positive" talks with Brentford over the sale of Kyogo Furuhashi

Will probably have a sell on there too but it will be tiny as I think Rennes want to sell a whole host of players.

Rennes have reportedly held positive talks with Brentford over the sale of Kyogo Furuhashi.

The Japanese striker completed a surprise transfer to the French outfit from Celtic in the January transfer window, although the move hasn't worked out up to this point.

Furuhashi has played just six times for his new club so far, failing to find the back of the net.

He could be on the move this summer. It was reported earlier this month that Kyogo is 'expected' to leave Rennes, with Bournemouth interested in finding out the terms of a potential transfer.

Now, a new team from England's top flight has emerged in the race in the form of Brentford. Indeed, reports from Le Parisien [via RecordSport] claim that Rennes have held 'positive' talks with the London club regarding a potential deal.

Thomas Frank's side finished 10th in the Premier League last season.

Should he move to the Gtech Community Stadium, Furuhashi would link up with fellow former Celt Kristoffer Ajer, who joined Brentford in 2021.

Furuhashi played 165 times in green and white, falling 15 shy of the 100-goal mark.

His agent, Joel Pannick, opened up on his Celtic exit a few months back: "We had teams from all over the world express interest," he told The Sunday Times.

"There are certain markets where it would have been a very lucrative contract, but what sporting ambitions would realistically be achieved, particularly with the World Cup in mind in 18 months?

"Then we had to speak to Celtic to understand their perspective because a club has no desire to lose their best player halfway through the season."

Kyogo signed on the 16 July 21 and ajer left on the 21 July 21... Be great to see these great friends reunited..

Would actually be the type of move that would have made sense when he left us originally if this happens.

Actually surprised if Ange doesn't look towards him.

Rumours potentially of Son out of Spurs this summer. They'd so a lot worse than investing in a first choice striker and having Kyogo as backup.

Probs knows his times up otherwise I think he would be. Still can’t believe he’s not come back in for Hatate or Maeda tbf before this window. In EPL terms they’d be cheap as

I'd not say no, but zero chance we can afford him or his wages

Would be stunned if Brentford signed him.

He's went downhill quite quickly the last 18 months/2 years.
