That’s coming from our biased perspective though. Aberdeen knew they couldn’t go toe to toe with us as has been proven this season.

so how else do they win? They sit in and defend. And judging by how brilliant all their penalties were and how * ours were there’s only one team that expected it to go that far.

Theres plenty of ways of winning, Aberdeen deserve their day

I'm still baffled that we started a keeper who is carrying a shoulder injury. Bit of a kick in the teeth to Sinsalo who had been playing well for us since Schmichael became unavailable.

I genuinely think that Rodgers picked KS for sentimental reasons believing the game was a gimme and that Sinasalo would have plenty of other days

Rodgers carries the can for the result. Agree Schmichael probably shouldn't have played, but his subs and game management were the real kickers.

It was a kick in the teeth to Sinisalo, who did not deserve to be dropped.

It was also an error of judgement by Brendan, as was his bizarre three subs at the 65th minute, when the game was still in the balance.

I still think Schemeichel should have declared himself unfit for the Cup Final, as it was obvious he was worried about diving on his right shoulder. The Aberdeen players just walloped the penalties high and right of Schemeichel, because they knew he did not have an earthly of getting to them.

It's Schemeichel that carries the can for the Cup and Treble loss, imo.

He effed up monumentally when we had the game in the bag.

Didn’t Kenny take the second penalty as well, sorry if this has been gone over. Was that a choice by the manager, or more likely the more experienced players bottled it and let the poor sod step up. Maybe they could take some blame.

He took the penalty brilliantly, might be the best one we did infact. It’d be a bit of both though, he’d have showed in training he can do that, the 2nd one isn’t a big pressure one usually like 1st or 5th. Calmac had stepped up first with our first three choice guys Engels, Idah and Hatate not on the pitch.

AJ, Maeda took one. Calmac obviously the same. Who are the senior guys left you’d expect to hit one? Maybe Schlupp. Ccv or Scales as well, chances are they aren’t as good at them though. And they’d know that. Kenny was willing to step up, and he done it.

Probably the smallest issue about the final for me that.

I was happy with him for it think I replied rather aggressively because I really like him stepping up and having a really good confident penalty.

I like him what I’ve seen. He should have scored his header chance though, he’d know that, be thinking on that, stepped up and done the job really well. That’s a wee bit of character that. I like seeing * like that with a young guy, trying to prove himself here.

Probably won’t ever see him again right enough and when he leaves at 25 we’ll be like wait he’s still here. That’s the Celtic Way
