    Serious question; unfortunate, but also highly relevant in Scotlands tribal football culture;

"What school did he go to?"

Best compliment I can give the boy is I'd prefer he doesn't go to the huns.

I think he's a better player than Cameron, I know that might be viewing it a bit through Green Tinted Specs, but he's always impressed when I've seen him, looks rapid for a midfielder and looks physical too. I think he could go on to be better than McCowan too, who I rate.

I'd happily take him over the likes of Bernardo, alongside bringing in Brownhill and either keeping Hatate or replacing him. Would look a lot healthier in midfield.

We need physical players in our team. Every top side has a mix.

Slot has Konate, Van Dijk, Gravenberch, and a 6ft 2 winger.

Guardiola relies on Rodri, then Dias, Gvardiol etc.

We already have a small side. That's why it's brought up.

You've used to examples there of some of the top 5 greatest players to ever Grace the game. Hardly comparable to what we are working with or targeting. Physicality and pace are arguably the only two areas where we can bridge the gap against top level sides.

Brazil and Portugal two of the most physical leagues I've ever watched at times, also.

Obviously, Rodri and Gravenberch are top players. That said, Slot was desperately trying to sign Zubimendi at CDM. Couldn't get the deal done and eventually settled for Gravenberch who was already in the squad. Likewise, City won plenty of trophies with Fernandinho or Gundogan at CDM.

Physical CDMs may transform into an extra centre half for defensive purposes. They are certainly useful, but they aren't necessary. For instance, I'd argue the best CDM in football history is 5'9" Lothar Matthaus.

BR's philosophy relies heavily on ball possession. There's a reason CalMac is a lock at CDM. If BR believed a physically imposing CDM is necessary, we would have signed one by now. Btw, Scott Brown was 5'9" and he was arguably our most physical player.

Agreed height is important for centre halves cause they are constantly battling for headers. Big goalkeepers gain an advantage as well. Even so, legends like Baresi, Puyol, Cannavaro or Bobby Moore were all heavily undersized.

Sorry for the off topic. I guess my point is I'd love us to sign Mulligan.

110% spot on. We literally SCREAM out for physical players. Its ridirulous how every fan have seen it for years but not the ones in charge. Criminal.

That might go in our favour then. If we want him his da wil be desperate for him to sign. Josh is likely to be a hoops fan too. Tbh we need a few who will play for the jersey

Josh is a Celtic supporter. When it first broke that he was talking with Rangers (around the same time as the 3-3 at dens) i asked, he's no signing for them is he... and was laughed at... What i will say is hes very good mates with Lyall Cameron, as they came through the youth team together as well as Scotland U21's...

No matter where he ends up the boys worked hard to get where he is, good luck to him, but his dad will be itching for the move to us, at the end of the day its down to him to decide. Apparently has a number of clubs talking with him.

his wee brothers no bad as well ;) * knows where they got it cause his dad couldny kick his ain erse! :p

I couldn’t care less if it was a catholic one or not. I happen to be a catholic who supports Celtic but the z3 mates I go to the game with are not and believe me they are dyed in the wool Celtic fanatics. So it’s being the fan and playing for the jersey that counts

He really impressed me whenever I seen him play for Dundee, he was a stand out along with the winger they had on loan.

Thats why i said "an unfortunate" question.

Some people still carry that * like a bag of rocks.

Player's family and friends still carry alot of weight with young players. Billy Gilmours ma par example
