Thats brilliant Madadh Rua that cracked me up. Really its a game that could go either way. Clearly though neither you nor I are going to be doing any celebrating any summer on the GAA front. In fact enduring a rough summer is more likely for one or maybe both of us.

You're talking big now, eire4, but wait until you have to travel up to Newry for the match and you softie southerners see the Derry lads in the balaclavas in the tunnel before throw in. It'll be like Lisbon 1967 when we scared those fancy dan Italians s**less. :giggle1:

Now, don't be dragging me into your negative thinking. Convinced we'll qualify from that group on the basis that we have to win a match sometime.

haha thats brilliant Madadh Rua love it. The softie southerners brought back a good memory there too. When I was growing up playing in school for St Benildus we were the only south side school playing in the top division of Dublin schools football and we used to get that southside softies thrown at us all the time.

Well to be fair unless we draw then one of us will need just to win one of the other 2 group games to qualify so there is a decent chance one of us will make it out of the group.

We're living in strange times, Dublin relying on a north Derry man, Killian McGinnis against Galway. :101:

What can you say we need all the help we can get these days. What a great and surprising win today though today we will certainly take that including the 2 points from McGinnis. But that sums up this Dublin team in transition this season some really good wins and thats a second against Galway followed by some miserable performances. So I will certainly enjoy this. A nice bonus after I was done enjoying Forrest last minute goal and the trophy lift.

Its a really long break between championship games seeing now this game is not till June 14th. As for the game itself anybody's guess as to what happens. Both teams are so hot and cold you have absolutely no idea which way this one will go. Could be anything really. Even the type of game you have no idea. Could be really tight or just as easily one team doesn't show up and its a blowout. From a Dublin perspective whether Con O'Callaghan is fit or not could well be decisive.

Well done Cork on outstanding and well earned victory against the mighty Limerick. What a turnaround in a few weeks, were hammered a few weeks ago, so well done to Par Ryan for lifting them.
Shame it did not go to a replay, asking * players to play extra time is not good, it was an awesome game, surely the GAA should have had a replay, another bumper pay day and another classic for hurling lovers.
One sour issue, at HT was the amount of people on the field of play having a pop at the Ref and a pop at each other. This needs to be stamped out, players and officials age the only people who should be on the field of play. This is a total lack of respect all around, all those should be identified and banned for next match, just needs to be nipped in the bud, happening too much especially in the Gaelic football
