Has looked a bit ‘not arsed’ recently; I’d leave him off tbh.

Would rather we try for a Valle type signing than Schlupp. Even promote the best prospect in that position into the squad as cover for Tierney and reassess in January.

Kvicha Kvaratshkelia is on course to win Ligue 1, French cup, serie A, and the Champions league all in one season.

I can’t think of anyone else to do such important trophies.

although the new rulings on players receiving winners medals do skew historical achievements from past players doing similar

So does that “officially” mean Forrest hasn’t won that competition?

also does that mean we could see Rodgers name Hatate on the bench just to receive a winners medal? Or can the club arrange for one to be produced for others like the players not included or medical staff, etc.

Never knew that was still the ruling up here

Not being talked about much after his cameo in the Cup Final. But that shot of his that nearly broke the crossbar, was worthy of winning any Cup Final. He would have been hailed as a hero by our support, if it had gone in.
On reflection, I'm starting to think if Taylor does go, maybe we should hold on to Schlupp.

His cameo showed me he's very slow now.

I wouldn't even entertain the idea of signing him he's as average as can be and you'd imagine would want a decent wage by our standards

Celtic have reportedly discussed a permanent deal with Jeffrey Schlupp

The 32-year-old joined The Hoops on loan in January, sharing the left-back position with Greg Taylor.

His loan from Crystal Palace is over, and he is set to become a free agent.

Sky Sports reports that club chiefs have spoken with Schlupp about extending his stay.

This comes as Greg Taylor's future remains uncertain, with his contract ending and no new deal signed.

Celtic hope Taylor will stay and compete with Kieran Tierney for the left-back position.

However, they are considering other options, including Schlupp, if Taylor leaves.

Schlupp's role in the team has been significant since joining on loan in January after the club failed to bring forward Kieran Tierney's return.

He has been sharing the left-back position with Taylor and was a substitute in the Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen.

The versatile star's future at Celtic could see him as a key player in the forthcoming season

He has shown absolutely nothing to warrant us signing him permanently

    Surely not.

Did well in the Bayern tie. Aside from that, not been impressed at all.

Am fine with that, but this means we'll need a Scottish HG signing to balance out Taylor leaving. Lennon Miller, I guess?

Obviously I would be happy in keeping Schlupp on now. He can do a good shift in midfield too, and also adds a bit more physicality to the team.

Now that he has got his feet under the table here, I think he will be even more steady next year.

For what he would cost in wages there will be better options out there.

I don’t mind it if he’s happy to be a backup option to Tierney tbh.

Will do well to get better as a backup

I'd rather a young fullback from the continent who is content to bide his time and learn from Tierney, eager to take his fhance when handed it, than Schlupp at this stage.

Yeah I can understand the sort of Sinisalo like long-term planning. But still think Schlupp is a decent backup option for a year or two if Rodgers feels he wants to go down that route.

Don’t think it’s the doom and gloom deal some are making it out to be

Not only does he look not upto it, he also doesn’t look interested at times. There’s a difference between being lanquid in style and genuinely lacking intensity.

Only thing is i do think we have to sign someone who can play inside the pitch as KT doesn’t look comfortable doing it. Need the option to change that in game or even just to manage KT
