That would have been '69 - '70, though I can remember getting in trouble for painting white hoops across my brothers green top (as he was wearing it) in gloss paint a couple a year or so earlier. So I must have been aware of them but to consciously state I was a Hoops fan when asked who I supported? I would have been 5-ish. In hindsight when given a line in the 'pools' by my parents, as were all my family were, I always put a cross by Celtic, I mean why? Knowing what I know now, why would I pick Celtic to draw? :56:But at 4-5 years old I knew no better, seemed like it was my team and I claimed it with pride . 'Stupid, stupid, stupid bhoy' :52:.

1992. My stepfather took me to the Cologne game. Before that, Celtic were always one of the teams I liked (because Paul McStay was my hero as a kid and also because I come from a family with an Irish Catholic background); but after that game, I only had one team.

    Day I was born lol

I have vague memories of early celtic games to me, I'm positive I remember the family watching John Collins score a free kick at mordor but I dunno which one it was.

I know I remember the 2-0 qf game where malky and Di canio scored against the huns, no idea if it was live or highlights though lol

97/98 is where I first took an actual interest in following celtic which luckily enough for me was a great season lol my first game I remember being at was the 5-1 thumping of dunfermline at celtic park for my birthday.

Followed the hoops ever since, 28 seasons and most of them have been amazing with an incredible 20 league victories.

1997. First game I remember watching was in the Celtic Club in Kilsyth when we drew 1-1 with the huns.

Always thought goram had a belter that day but watching it back it looked like they pounded us and we got a very late equaliser.

Since I was born in 88.

But earliest memories I have are the season before stopping the 10 when we signed Di Canio.

Although there are pics of me as a kid in green and white celtic beanie etc that would've been around 1980 or '81, that was more down to my granda than to me. I remember telling kids when I first started going to school after we had moved to Australia (aged 7) that I liked Celtic, but soccer (or 'wogball' as most them called it back then and I got teased for liking 'wogball, and on top of being conscious of my accent and all, and just wanted to fit in... ) so for a few years wasn't as major a thing compared to Aussie Rules, and so became a Hawthorn fan, while football was just being what I did with my grandad.

He would talk Celtic (pardon the pun) in the same sort of way as talking about 'home' as in Ireland, but to a kid who had been taken from Belfast and the grim crap that was going on there in the early 80's to the other side of the world, it didn't quite possess that same mysticism, but it was how my grandad & I bonded, with football, getting up early through the week for whatever Europpean Cup games were being televised, and because Liverpool was featured a lot, he'd say things like, 'they are good, but not as good as the Lions', or because Dalglish was there, but that 'he was that good because he had learned it all at Celtic' etc.

So it probably wasn't til the 1985 Scottish Cup Final that I remember getting to stay up late and watch Celtic 'live' on tv, and apart from that was old enough to try to follow on the scraps of news, posters and VHS tapes etc, not just what was being passed on/talked about with my grandad.

Born into it. Celtic family in a Catholic area. No other choice and wouldn't have it any other way.

Mine was seeing the 1980 cup final and I just loved seeing the hoops. I though they were such a cool jersey and all the Irish flags in the crowd.

I have vague memories of that from when we were still living in Belfast, but mostly I remember all the people on the pitch and the fighting and stuff than the game itself.

Weird one for me. Dad was a hun, mum a Tim. Dad took me to rangers when I was about 6, and I just kinda went along with it. Then got trials and played for rangers boys club from 9-11 (with Graeme dorrans) and * hated it so much. I’m a catholic and the amount of bigotry from parents and players was so bad. So I quit, and told the folks I didn’t want anything to do with rangers. So my mum took me to a Falkirk cup game, maybe 97, and that was it. Loved it and been hooked ever since. Dad wasn’t happy but nae joy

It was the following season 1989 when Joe Miller scored early in the match and it stayed a 1-0 win over the Huns.
