Actually thought he was half decent when he dropped deep to link the play.

Could've had * Pele on upfront today and he'd have done * all.

Brendan's style of football kills our strikers. Kyogo was absolutely lethal in his first few seasons, we all then saw him come deep to get involved because no * was giving him service.

I'm not a massive Idah fan, but today I don't think he could've done much more. Our system usually means that midfielders are all chipping in with decent numbers to make up for our strikers. Maeda had already scored plenty from the left before Kyogo got sold.

Was starting to make an impression on the game finally and then got subbed. Given he scored the winner last year found that pretty bizarre.

As an avid follower of the Irish football team, Ferguson is 10 times the player of Idah.

He started to impact the game in the first 20 mins of the 2nd half.

Don't think the need was there to change it so drastically and chuck Yang on. Rodgers acted as though we were chasing the game. Weird. Sorry. But i just don't understand why he felt it was the right time to chuck Yang and McCowan on.

I don’t disagree with either of you Ferguson is a better player. But I just think with the packed defences and sitting back we face, mixed with no balls ever going over the top or using their physicality with a ball lofted in.

That both will get nothing to work with, meaning they’ll both probably do as well/bad as each other.

think we need to work on a totally different style when plan A and B doesn’t work. So sign a player who has totally different attributes rather than find a better idah in Ferguson

I think the subs were more Rodgers thought the game was won, so brought on players who he thought deserved to get an appearance. Felt it as soon as he did it.

in meaningful games he never ever makes 3 subs at once. Even in games we’re winning he only usually subs 3 at the same time when we’re multiple goals up.

I think with how comfortable we were he just assumed we’d go on and get that second goal eventually.

Even if the service is *, he needs to do more. He doesn't drop in to pick up ball infront of opposition defences enough for me. I would actually say Maeda is better at that than him, as well as better at getting in behind. He is a better finisher but he's also greedy at times when there are far better options available which maybe works out now and again but more often than not doesn't.

0 assists in 25 starts is really poor.

Naive as * from Rodgers if that's the case.

I'd agree that Aberdeen are pretty *, as much as I've praised Thelin at times with his subs impacting games.

But to think a cup final is done after 1 goal is * madness.

I think the season has still been a success especially with the European progression, but there is a lot of work to do in the summer. Idah, Engels and Trusty have all showed flashes of why they were signed, but they need to do more as well.

He's frustrating and overall not a good footballer.
He is far from capable of being our main striker and why he constantly gets favoured to start games and thus putting Maeda wide left, is truly baffling, to put it nicely.

Rodgers clearly has his favourites in the side and Idah is one of them.
Undeserved starting position for a player who proves time and time again that he can't influence a game or be the focal point of attack like Maeda or Kyogo before him.

No doubt 20 goals as our "backup" is * impressive. Less impressive if we remind ourselves of the fee spent on him, but nonetheless 20 goals is a solid return.
But he's a backup striker and his best comes when he is a sub and the games in the final third of the match and opponents are losing focus and legs.

Seasons done, but come next year he can not be allowed to be our starting striker.

Idah shouldn't be judged on yesterday's performance. Ffs our wide men hardly delivered a single ball to him. Kuhn couldn't cross the road and seems to think that the 18 yard line is the bye line. Maeda had one of the worst games he's played this season and the midfield were all pedestrian. Our successful performances this season have been built on pace, yesterday there was none.

I do think our system has an effect as I’ve previously mentioned, but Idah does have his flaws and can frustrate.

I’m at the point where I don’t think he’ll ever be one of the ‘stars’ of the side, but he has made a good contribution this season especially when not starting most of the games he has played. He has room for improvement and good attributes. He makes a lot of unselfish runs that creates space for other players, which is clearly a tactical decision, and I’ve witnessed it resulting in goals for us this season. He’s a decent finisher.

Where I’d like to see him improve is his first touch, which is the most frustrating part of his game for me, and as a result of that his hold up play. He’s never going to have the touch of Jota but he can work on his to make it more consistent. I’d also like to see him be a bit sharper in his play, with controlled aggression. He has physicality and he just needs to bring it out more.

The transfer fee gets held against him but it’s not his fault he cost what he cost. We wanted him, we paid the money and got him in. 20 goals in his first season is a decent return and gives him something to build on for next season.

On transfer fees, a lot of folk need to realise the floor on fees has risen. The £1-3m market will mostly get you * all these days. There will always be exceptions to the rule but even the £11m we spent for Engels hasn’t guaranteed us a ready made star.

He's very raw and inconsistent looking sometimes, which concerns me since he's 24 already and a full international, ,so what's it gonna take or when is it gonna start clicking for him?
On the whole, a good season contribution wise but I'm still hoping for more from him.

Still can’t decide with him. As an impact sub he’s been good. Goals to minutes ratio shows that. Starting…he struggles to get a hold of the game a lot. I’m not sure if that’s because he’s not really has a run and strikers do need that backing to find their form. reckon he stays but need to see a big improvement. Was expecting him to dial it up when kyogo went but it’s not happened yet.

His biggest issue is that the team don't seem to be using him enough as a passing option. I hated when Kyogo was dropping deep to receive the ball, but the far stronger Idah isn't being used in the same way.

Given how much we were struggling to deal with the volume of bodies they had defending and our main threat was coming from corners, taking a 6’3 striker off was daft.

He also made a number of decent runs in the box only for terrible crosses or cut backs came in behind him or hitting the first man. I don’t blame him yesterday and thought it wasn’t the time to replace him with Yang.

Aye I'd probably agree with that.

Which to me is sheer arrogance and bizarre. If its 80 mins...perhaps. But he took a huge risk and it backfired.
