Absolute 10/10, best episode they've done so far, felt like the game of thrones glory days!

    This

I haven’t actually started season 2 yet, but seen the chat online about it so know it’s happened.

I could see them lose a lot of viewers tbh. I know it happens in the game…but that * a lot of gamers off so could quite easily seeing it happen with TV viewers. Much less enjoyable now.

It definitely will * people off, but I don’t think it’ll be less enjoyable a season if they do it right.

The biggest change from the game is you don’t know Abby’s motivation till later, which I think would have been an even bigger shock to people. They’ve also made some big changes regarding Tommy, and I’m unsure how they are going to play out as well.

It’ll definitely be interesting anyway. Going to start season 2 soon.

I’m one of the people who really didn’t like the second game, or at least the direction they went with it. To the point I’ve forgotten the majority of what happened. Genuinely can’t remember Tommy in it at all or some of the other side characters.

Hopefully the show is a nice surprise.

    Can go either way:

Game of Thrones kicked on when Ned Stark was killed off.

Walking Dead nose-dived when Glen was killed off.

Thats the biggest surprise for me. The writers have showed their hand too quickly - i agree with your view on a mid/late season reveal would have carried more weight. Easy to say this if you've played the games though.

I cant remember much of the Tommy stuff to remember if they've changed anything.

Tommy heads to Seattle first to kill Abby in the game. But he’s obviously stayed in the show. He’s also there in the cabin and see’s Joel killed.

I hated the second game totally because you were forced to play as Abby. Fell away from the show as I didn't particularly like the casting choices of Joel or Ellie to be honest and didn't have the same magic of that first game to me. Be a more enjoyable show for people that didn't play the games I thought.

We are going to get loads of flashback stuff. Pascal is not done by a long way.

Episode 2 will live with me for a long time. Outstanding television.

I hadn't played the second game so watching the show is fresh. Obviously I had already knew about Joel when the game came out. Only thing is I know what happens at the end of the game and I don't like it so hopefully they change that.

Didn’t know Ellie was transitioning in the story … quite ovb that’s what the actress is doing on the show

Found the most recent episode quite boring, not enough mushroom people.

Seriously? That was one of the best episodes yet.

The porch scene especially was top tier acting from both Pascal and Ramsey

Aye, just found it a bit boring tbh. It's been a decent show but have found some of it very slow.

That's kind of the point tbh.

It's not your typical "zombie" show. It's strength is the character building.

I thought the layers on that episode was incredible. Parents doomed to repeat the mistakes of their own parents.

Ellie furious at Joel for not letting Seth see his wife before he died yet only days later Ellie got to see Joel before he died.

    Top tier story telling.
