Last night will be seriously damaging for them, their squad is absolutely overloaded with overpaid pish players who aren’t even good enough to be considered average. They class Bruno as some world class saviour but another big night he’s posted missing. A decent player but nothing more.

They’ve signed Cunha, who’s been excellent this season and on paper looks a good signing but wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him get swallowed up and spat out by the * show that is Man Utd.

The best thing they could do now is rip the whole thing up (to the cost of hundreds of millions) and invest heavily in their academy and then just hope and pray it comes good because they’ve tried everything else. Thrown obscene money at players and managers who should’ve done better than what they have and delivered nothing of note. They’ve been a sinking ship for more than a decade now, even when Fergie was there in his last couple of seasons. The squad was abysmal yet he somehow squeezed something out of it but the day he left this collapse was always going to happen.

Their last hope was sneaking in the back door of the champions league so that they could attract a few players but that’s gone now and it’s almost impossible to see any way they can get there again any time soon.

I watched the game with my mate who is a United fan and he said he would've been slightly glad to see them relegated as it would give the club a reset. He even said them getting CL football would * him off more that the players could be rewarded for such a bad season. They're very disillusioned with the club and no wonder, crazy how far they've fallen.

Honestly I think it’s a tragic story of modern football Utd. Ferguson built them into a juggernaut and one of the biggest in the world along with Madrid. Then American venture capitalist bought it, with money mortgaged against the club, with the club paying the debt they used to purchase it. They spent 0 money on that themselves. And to pay that debt, and the heartbeat of the club in Ferguson retiring they whored every aspect of it for money, and try to pay there way back to Ferguson years. Overpaid for average. And they are stuck now, absolutely toxic.

pre Glazer purchase they had built up where they were and yes they spent big but it was money they could afford and earned. * hated them back then as well but what the Glazers done shouldnt be allowed, how the * can you buy a club with a loan with the club as collateral, and then have the club pay that loan. It’s * mental.

It feels illegal to me. But its rich man * that.

They've taken billions out of that club. Absoloutely milked them dry. If they never took over, never had those debt repayments, then they'd still be winning and competing as big as Madrid. People say city as cheats spending a billion or more on a team, utds had that much stolen. Yes they've still spent huge, but imagine the money they could have spent. All made by themselves. An absolute juggernaut, that some Americans have came and ground it to a hault, set on fire and buried it. Mays well close the place. It'll never recover.

My grandad supported them. Had great fun when we * them in the champions league :56: he'd be mortified at the state they are in. Don't look down grandad, it's better up their for you..

They probably without Fergie would just spend double on the same *.

Alex Ferguson was everything about that football club, from top to bottom it was him, and they’re still floundering about it confused about what to actually do.

All the while he now sits in the stand, camera going to him anytime anything happens, like a ghoul.

I always said after him they should have got Mourinho in on just a two year contract, he usually carries on some success his force of personality makes it about him, don’t let him have his 3rd season he * up and gets the golden handshake and after two years of Jose preparing for who they want longterm, it would be Joses replacement not Fergusons. They’re now stuck in a loop every manager is still trying to be Alex Ferguson’s replacement.

Think Ferguson had told the boarx before Pep had agreed Bayern job as well. As soon as he told them, then if my timing is right for that, then they should have been straight to him. He’s the only one I would think is enough of an obsessed control freak that could have made it seamless.

    Now they’re *.

    that bit is funny that.

But the Glazer stuff and what they done? Naw * Man Utd but that’s something that should never happen, it’s stuff like that tricks like that, billionaires use to shaft others, don’t spend a penny and just accumulate wealth * on everyone around them. It’s * disgusting to me

60 odd million for Hojlund. I get he was young at Atlanta but 30m tops. I don't believe anybody else was coming in for him and offering more.

I don't see who they sell either, all the players earn too much.

Most that could will be so far buried in NDA’s you’ll never get them to speak out. I’d love a real in depth investigative journalist documentary or something though.

Its something that I’ve always been confused about their being a grumble and some slight criticism, mostly when they were doing worse on the pitch but still spending big but it was like… general football fans hating those in charge type of grumbles maybe a Gary Neville rant or two. Man Utd were the face of the EPL of English football, and the EPL for Sky and England is the prized pony something they absolutely need to show off and fight always as its the best regardless of logic and change the argument on that if any other league changes. That is absolute must for England. It is a * cash cow. Utd were the biggest there, worth the most and were the face of that. The team you thought of.

And they basically had to pay off someone stealing the club. That’s what it is. Wasn’t his money was it? The club paid it. And they took their money out of it, still spent loads Utd generates a lot, but they leeched it, ran it into the ground, and made it a laughing stock and there was nary a word. I would expect * mayhem for that

I meant nowadays, yes there is doubt doubt the way Ferguson built them up was amazing. Nowadays I hear Man U fans wanting an Arab take over like Man City or Sir * Jim RATcliffe wanting to build a 100.000 all seater and wants more money money money money. The Club has spent a fortune since Ferguson left. One big mistake is they never gave Moyes more time. Anyway .uck them like all the other Greedy EPL sides. .uck them!!

Met a guy down here through work, who through his own admission has never been to Manchester, but went from being a Man Utd fan to now being a Man City fan.

I tell ye what, as much as they are loathed by certain folk in our quarters but shyster crooks like the Glazers and every other swindling * who've ruined massive English clubs make our PLC board look like absolute saints.

Actually makes you even more glad to see the way we are run, despite there being room for some improvement.
