Can we not just give Anderson and frame a chance to be back up to Tierney..

If we got Anderson a loan to an Aberdeen or someone in the top flight where he was playing week in week out, maybe, but we've given him a sideways/backwards loan at this stage....and don't know where he's truly at..

He's a good player Anderson. He showed up well last pre season and the path should've been a progressive loan with a view to coming back and pushing the first team left back here..

It's no good enough. Frame should be going somewhere on loan this summer as well..

Lets see how many of the diddy teams next year go with pinging long balls into our left back position with KT waiting to eat them up.

Absolutely wish him all the best. Shame he is leaving but he has been a very decent player and hope he finds a good landing spot.

With the injury history of Tierney I don't think we can. They need a loan to a premium team for a season. It's a shame that one of them didn't get that this season.

He's given us more than what we paid, anyway

Good luck to him. Will need a competent back up now

I'm not going to get too excited he's leaving until we see who he is getting replaced with.

We already need quite a few positions filled, or replaced, and with KT coming in I'm not expecting much to be spent on his backup, despite it being pretty crucial due to his injury record, in my opinion.

How are the media twisting his Insta post as “cryptic”. It’s pretty black and white.

We should be using a youth player. KT won't be able to play every game

If we had a youth player that's actually capable of stepping up I doubt we'd have brought in Schlupp in January, we'd have used them or recalled them from their loan to get them ready instead. And I don't think it's a case of KT won't be able to play every game, I wouldn't be surprised if he'll miss over 50% of games most seasons, so we need a LB that can step in even in the big games when (I don't even think it's a case of "if") he's out.

If we do have someone there already capable of doing that brilliant, but I doubt it and think we'll need to buy, otherwise we are looking at a AJ/Ralston situation of drop off in quality, only worse due to how often they'll be used due to KT's injury record.

Brendan Rodgers has refused to rule out the possibility of Greg Taylor signing a new contract.

The left-back, 27, is in the final weeks of his contract and Saturday's Scottish Cup Final could prove to be his farewell appearance.

Rodgers has made it clear he still sees the long-serving defender as a key part of his plans, even with Kieran Tierney returning to Celtic this summer.

The Hoops boss confirmed talks are still ongoing and although the clock is ticking, Rodgers still holds a glimmer of hope that Taylor will commit his future to the Scottish champions.

He said: "I had a long conversation with Greg yesterday. The door is not closed. He and I are just focusing on the performance level of the team and I think once the season is over on Saturday, then he'll have a lot more thinking time with more space to do that.

"I wouldn't shut the door totally on it. A number of weeks back, I gave my feeling on what may happen, just having experienced so many of these situations and what it can look like.

"I would definitely say it's not, 100 per cent, his last game. I put on record a number of times my keenness to keep him here, believing it can work with him and Kieran being here with the number of games that we have and the different types of games we need to play.

"And also because of Kieran and his situation coming back and especially in this early part of the season where there's a lot of games.

"So it can definitely work but there has to be an agreement between himself and his representatives and the club. If that's not reached, then he won't be here. He'll move on. But it's certainly not closed as of yet

As Taylor reaches his prime years, Rodgers knows and appreciates that the next contract may well be the most lucrative of his career.

He added: "It's not all on Greg, either. There needs to be that solution between the two. He recognises this is a big contract for him and a big contract in terms of this will carry him for the next four or five years and at 27, that's one of your last big contracts as a player so everything has to be right on that.

He's become a father recently as well, so there's lots of things that he has to take care of on that side. I've always tried to respect that space that he's needed for that. It's not all financial.

"That's where it's at. I've made it clear all the way along that I'm very keen for him to stay. He's loved his time here, he's enjoyed playing and he's a real part of what we're doing here.

"So hopefully, it can find its way to him being here. But if not? Then we've lost a fantastic young player."

Would be happy if indeed Taylor did sign a new deal and stays but at this point I really hope we have plans in place for his replacement and by that I do not mean Tierney.

I take it his contract expires on June 30th? By that date, we need to know what he wants to do.

    Ffs here we go again.

The contract is on the table, and has been for a while. Rodgers is spot on with his comments about looking after family and these last of his playing years, but enough is enough.

Hes well within his rights to look elsewhere, but if money is his primary motivation (fair enough), and he can get more money elsewhere, there's the door.
Hes on 15k a week. Which, given his ability and next years standing as a back up, is more than fair, assuming hes been offered a bump too.

Hes a spl level player. Like Scales, im sure hes has his fan club on here, but his liabilities against any opposition not comprised of spl jobbers should be dictating his wage, not Rodgers' hard on for his effort in training.
He is routinely exposed in Europe and is overplaying his ability, as well as his own importance.

We shouldn't be waiting around to see if his agent can find him a better deal in the english championship. Sign the contact, or leave.

Theres younger and better out there for less money per week, as well as a possible future fee for a transfer.

Pick up the pen or pick up your phone. He should be counting his * lucky stars weve been so inept at finding a real LB all these years.
