When he left us it was widely reported it was 30% sell on total fee as thats what man city got from us.

That has been the media case all the way through until last 10 days when his fee has seemingly dropped and we are 30% of profit now.

Just to appease a certain fan base.

It is 100% accurate that its 30% of the fee Bayer receive which is €40m approx £33.9m of which we will get £11m at the current exchange rate.

Canny business from Liverpool this. In a different attacking sense he’s one of few that can match TAA’s attacking danger. In a very different way.

They’ve also managed to perfectly replace like for like for pundits to moan about defending but be too impressed attacking wise to figure him out.

Frimpong and Salah on the one wing but, that’s a better combo than TAA and Salah. And I wouldn’t say Frimpong’s better but with Salah, he’ll be more effective than TAA on that wing.

I can't find a single article from 2021 stating that it's 30% of the overall fee. Everything I've found mentions 30% of the profit.

Either way it's still a good sum for us to receive.

 

Bit annoyed this is only £30 odd million. I thought he'd go for much more. Still nice to get another £10 in the coffee - let's just hope it's not spunked on another Idah or Engels.

 

It’s a release clause, or else he’d be well over double that.

Both have been reported every time he’s been linked, the release clause amount changes too between 30-35m.

But our part has been confirmed recently.

 

Mental to think Liverpool who * the EPL have 3 of their back 4 who have Celtic connections. Andy Robertson is a bit of a stretch but you know what I mean.
