I really like him. But he’s always going to be one of these players not everyone takes too for some reason. Whether it’s the price or because he’s Irish and not a fancy name but he’s always 1 bad game away from being hounded. After Kyogo left he instantly went on a run looked unreal but when the game came that he didn’t score in it was back to square one for him again in some fans eyes.

20 goals now on the season for Idah. Pretty good numbers for him and hopefully a few more goals to come in these last 2 games.

It's always going to be tough after such an iconic striker in kyogo. One thing is for sure, he can score. Just needs more time abd needs to work on lifting his head for assists. Doesn't always need to shoot because he's a striker. Sometimes across the box is better. A full preseason for rodgers to work his magic and then we csn judge. Think he'll be great.

Not sure exactly what I said before, but still think if he's good for 20-30 goals a season for us then he's worth £9M... Not sure why people thought we could browbeat down and EPL team to the lowest offer, but those kinda deals don't happen anymore...

Two goals against that Villa side at Villa Park, you don't do that if you're completely pish, notice those two goals were instinctive finishes inside the box, that's what he should be, a penalty box striker, a poacher, he's not someone that can be expected to hold up the ball or link up play, he doesn't have that in his game to a consistent high enough standard, when the opposition has the ball he has to press but the second we gain possession he should be sprinting towards the box every time, his role needs far more simplified, Brendan has to accept he's not going to be that traditional target man who can hold up the ball bringing others into play and linking up with them, only then will he become a far more useful player, however, if he's going to be continually asked to play the role of a target man, then he'll continue to be lambasted

Kyogo scored 20 in his first full season so he's matched that and could beat it.

Really needs to put in a massive pre season, bulk up a bit and see where that takes him, The raw material is there, its like he just needs proper coaching.

Big man was up golfing at Gleneagles last night. Him and Sinisalo were playing in the group in front of me.

Good shout, and Kyogo prolly had a lot more minutes in his first season than Idah has this season.

Its a good point about a good pre-season. He had a very disrupted one last summer because of the protracted transfer so hopefully being on board from day 1 this summer will help see Idah kick on another level for us next season.

As weird as it sounds Kyogo actually played less minutes. His hamstring went and he was out for a few months so missed a lot of games. He did have a lot more starts though so it's not a slight on Idah who has an excellent goal return coming off the bench.

Good first full season and he's only young so will just get better with Rodgers input

I read Idah scored a goal every 117 minutes while Maeda scores every 118 minutes
