He looked good again. Also think he looks far better on the ball when playing on his natural side. Happy to keep him as back up to CCV, much rather play him there than have Trusty play on his opposite side as we've done numerous times this season.

Bin one of Scales/Trusty, don't care which one tbh, and sign a proper partner for CCV and defence is sorted

Nawrocki has now been here for what is basically two wasted footballing years of his young career, can't see him being content to continue on the bench as backup, wasting even more years, either Brendan has a sudden epiphany regarding Nawrocki and starts him every week alongside CCV, or he goes in the Summer

There is a lot to that for sure. CCV is like Tierney in that you know he won't play every game so Nawrocki if he was ok being number 2 right center back would be a very good option from what we saw again last night and as you say sell Trusty or Scales along with selling Lagerbielka and there you have the money to sign a left sided center back hopefully at the same level as CCV. That would be a very good scenario if it came to pass over the summer.

Maybe we could get excited about corners if he gets a run?

Unfortunately, I don't see us selling Trusty, but imagine if we got £8m and saved £40k in wages between the three of them. If we actually had a sensible recruitment and scouting department, that could bank roll a very good left footed CB.
Happy to go in to a new season with CCV, Nawrocki, The New CB and Dane Murray as the go to 4 options.

    But thats far too sensible.

For us, instead we will waste Nawrocki again, punt Lagerbeilke and at best sign another £2-3m player who is no better than Lagerbeilke or Scales.

Very good left footed center backs are a premium and will be out of our price range.

The only way we're getting one is if he's an up and coming raw recruit.

Be Aswell getting a very good right centre back that can play left side though I guess even they are a premium price

Your probably right about Trusty although if we were able to get back at least the money we paid for him and sell Lagerbielka for what we paid for him that would be a nice kitty to go and try and find a genuine CCV level left sided center back.

Chuck in Welsh too and we could bring in about £10m for 3 players that are not good enough, which we could hopefully use to find a left footed CB on CCVs level

In recent performances he's looked better than Scales and Trusty and you could argue CCV as well although granted in a much lesser sample size

I just really like him as a player. He immediately gives you a sense of calm watching as a supporter and to me, that is a sign of a good player.

https://wszczecinie.pl/wiemy-kto-zn...ni-szczecin-to-byle-gwiazdy-ekstraklasy/51467We know who is in Pogoń Szczecin's crosshairs. They are former Ekstraklasa stars - Szczecin

Maik Nawrocki, currently a Celtic Glasgow player, may soon be loaned to Pogoń Szczecin - wSzczecinie.pl has learned. The owners of the Szczecin club are working on reinforcements for the next season of PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. This is not the only name associated with the Pride of Pomerania.

Maik Nawrocki's adventure in Scotland was demanding and full of changes. After transferring from Legia Warsaw to Celtic Glasgow in the summer of 2023, the defender had to face a new environment and a higher level of competition. He started his first season promisingly, but his development was disrupted by health problems and a lot of competition in the defensive line. That is why Nawrocki has only played for Celtic five times in the last few months. In total, over the course of two years, he played in 18 matches and scored one goal. Now the player is looking for a way to return to top form. This is where Pogoń Szczecin comes into play. Maik Nawrocki cost Celtic Glasgow 5 million euros. His contract with "The Bhoys" is valid until June 2028.

In Legia Warsaw, Maik Nawrocki was a player in the starting line-up. Together with the capital team, he played in the group stage of the Europa League. The "military" took last place in the competition with Napoli, Spartak and Leicester, but the young player still made a good impression. After Maik's transfer to Celtic, the team's coach Brendan Rodgers emphasized this.

"He's another great signing for us and we're really pleased to have Maik on board. He's a very highly regarded young player and someone we strongly believe will be able to contribute a lot to this team. I've seen him play for Legia Warsaw in the Europa League so I'm aware of his qualities. He was very keen to join Celtic so we're looking forward to working with him," Rodgers said at the time.

Unfortunately for the Pole, the English coach did not recognize his talent, and when the situation potentially changed, Nawrocki began to suffer from injuries.

Being the 2nd best centre back at the club doesn't matter.

If you weren't signed from the EPL or one of Brendan's favourites you've no chance of making it here

Another who, had the team been picked on form, should have started the final but Brendan has his favourites.

Just need to teach him how use his left foot - straight into the team!

Joking aside, Rodgers is a total slave to systems and rigid player types.
Remember Kyogo and Idah both in great form but Rodgers dropped one to play a rank rotten Yang to preserve 'the system'.
Really needs to adapt to players and opposition - he simply can't play same way/personnel v Rangers for a fifth time in a row and expect a different outcome.

The situation with him is one thing that Rodgers is * me off with.

Also a loan to Poland would be lazy. If we are gonna loan him get him somewhere else.

Still bewildered that he hasn't been given more game time.

He will only end up there if we get no other offers for him.
