Celtic's 2025/26 Summer transfer window: needed and wanted!

There's clearly some big hitters wanting a move this summer going by what he's gearing us up for..

Will be exciting nonetheless though..

 

Yeah think there's definitely a CCV or that ilk on the way out. Devastated I'll be.

Hatate and Kuhn can bolt, imo.

 

Little bit worried about a complete squad rebuild with Rodgers and our current scouting set up.

Since Ange's second season we've had a lot more misses than hits, and the same could be said for all of Rodgers seasons

If we are going to rebuild, we can't afford to get it wrong

 

100% mate that's a few times he has said in a different way about players who have been here a while could be looking for a new challenge.

CCV, Hatate and Khun agreed will go, would like at least 1 season of AJ and KT as first choice full backs but could see AJ being another he is alluding too.

 

Also if daizen doesn't sign new deal he is at peak sale value this summer he is offski simply due to the business model of the club.

 

From past experiences I think frustration with a bit of anger thrown in for good measure would be a better way to describe it

 

Daizen - 2 year left
Hatate - 3 year left
Khun - 4 year left
CCV - 4 year left
AJ - 4 year left

3 of them defo going

 

We won’t sell all 5 the club have shown they will keep players even if they aren’t happy and it doesn’t make business sense, if they feel we have lost too many already.

I do think we will get bids for all five this summer though but they won’t all be sold.

I hope I am wrong but unless Rodgers or Tisdale have somehow managed to get Desmond’s ear, I suspect it could be a frustrating summer especially if longer term targets/ bosman signings we hope to make don’t happen.

 

I think four out of the five will go, and I see us looking at a rebuild of the spine of the team in the summer.

Big changes coming soon by the looks of it.

 

Selling several before the CL qualifiers would be self-sabotage. The money for that alone, would be more than potential transfer incomings.

I've seen us knocked out of too many qualifiers before, than to gamble on 3 or 4 to hit the ground running.

 

I think your all nuts. No chance do we sell 4 players, especially 4 first team starters. Rodgers won't be leaving this sqaud weaker in his last season. The board can barely buy a player with 100m in the bank, but you expect they'll replace 4 players with equal or better qaulity. No chance. It's about adding a couple qaulity additions each window, not losing them.

 

Our model is to sell at their peak value or before last 18 months of contract.
Based on that logic, can see Maeda, Hattate, Kuhn all leaving.
CCV, Trusty, AJ and KT will be our back 4 (or 3) - no big changes.
Very long list of guys surplus to requirements will also leave - too many to list!

Incoming..high quality, low volume - up to £15M for key players.
#1 priority is midfield and adding some steel with a #6 and one other.
Top drawer striker required - better than Maeda and Idah.
And higher quality replacements for all outgoing first XI players.

Lastly, most importantly, a highly ambitious summer window that ensures the manager signs an extension.

 

I am going by his various ways he has said about guys being here for 3 or 4 years who will naturally look for a new challenge.

 

If players want away let them go if the money is right. You don't get a true 100% from someone who wants away.

Needs to be a fair bit of movement if BR already wants 3 in as the squad currently sits. Can see a few wanting away so the team could look a bit different in a few months which is not a bad thing.

As long as we are not shopping in the bargain basement the future looks good for us.

 

If you asked me stick on to leave Hatate and Khun with CCV a possible

 

Really hope Maeda doesn't want to leave.

I'm hoping what has happened with Kyogo will give him second thoughts if he had any in the first place

 

Hatate and Kuhn out the door.

Daizen new deal.

Target areas CB, LW, ST

Replace Kuhn and Hatate.

5 in this summer.
