I want him where he’ll do the best he can, we’ll get paid wherever he goes, him going to a team and being up there with worlds best does us far more good having developed here. Only so long we can point to Van Dijk, most big fees we’ve got haven’t worked out. Dembele done well at Lyon but was always a weird way they dropped him any opportunity and his loan to Atletico was * after he collapsed in training after he joined, Jota’s back here, KT will be in summer, O’Riley is struggling, * even knows what Eddy’s doing.

We need guys we sell to go on and be brilliant, so we can point to it. The fees we got for players mentioned was after people looked at Van Dijk and thought maybe give Celtic £20m instead of needing £70m later.

We need examples out there for why we should get top dollar for our talent

Feels like we have been hearing about this magic sell on clause for eternity.

Was actually a very good deal, even though at the time it felt like throwing the towel in on the title.

Still easy the fastest player Ive seen play with us, still shocks me how sharp he is over 5 yards. Almost equally as surprising how good his final ball is now, his shooting was so bad with us

It changes everytime as well, I’ve see. From 5 to 30.

I’m sure Daily Record said 12% one time. Weirdly specific. * knows what it actually is, but I think we can safely say there is some sort of a sell on.

Usually with us it’s 10%. So I’m going with that. His fee varies as much as the sel on every rumour as well. Seen between £35m and * £90m.

I can see it being on the higher end. He was imo our best player in that bad year. Exciting and fast as * and still on a long contract. To go for that price must have had a good sell on.

The thirty percent was because we had 30%to City in our deal. Apparently we offered £2m or so. And they said £500k and 30%.

If we passed 30% on in our deal to Leverkusen what a * job we did. At the time he left £13m or so, if we got the full fee would have been fair. Always felt like he would be able to command so much higher in 2/3 seasons or so.

If you ever want a laugh about how fickle a support we are look at this thread a month before he left. So many comments not seeing why others rated him so highly:56:will never have end product or that.

The type of attacking team Liverpool have, this is absoloutely perfect for them. Great stuff!

Right Pedro, that's some suprise money coming in. Get us another striker/winger combo. A new midfielder and some playboy bunny cheerleaders for the da's at half time...

30% of the fee is outstanding business from us. £11.3m or there abouts. Is decent dosh into the coffers for us.

Love how now he is finally moving its 30% of the profit the media are reporting the same media who reported rainjurz took mullions last summer. Same media how tried to down play the matt o'riley fee but claim we then over pay.

Its 30% of the overall fee he moves for hun scum read it and weep!

Sounds like this will actually happen this time in terms of him moving.

Regardless of if it’s 30% on profit or the fee it’s still a good fee coming in for someone that left ages ago so doesn’t need replaced.

You hear a lot about what was spent on the other players but less about how much we brought in. Over the last two windows you are looking at a £8m profit in the summer 2024, £6m profit in January and going into the summer if the above goes through and Lagerbielke gets a move for £3m not far off £10m up to start. With Tierney coming in to improve left back on a bosman. Yeah there will be a signing on fee etc but that’s some position to start in.

I think there may be one or two other bosmans we are keen on but as always when it’s good players there will be competition.

Celtic could be set for a windfall in excess of £5million after Liverpool stepped up their interest in signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

Earmarked as the main target to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back in the summer, Liverpool are in hot pursuit of the 24-year-old Holland international.

with Celtic, joining for a fee of around £350,000 before being sold to Leverkusen for £11.5m just 18 months later.

It is understood that Celtic had a clause in the deal with Leverkusen which would see them bank 30 per cent of the profit on any future transfer.

With Liverpool now pushing ahead with plans to meet Frimpong’s release clause of £29.5m, that would see the Germans make a profit of around £18m.

A figure of around £5.4m would then be pumped back into Celtic’s coffers for a player who left the club four years ago.

A rampaging presence at right wing-back for Leverkusen under head coach Xabi Alonso, Frimpong was a key part of the team that won the Bundesliga last season.

He has also established himself as a Dutch international, with his performances over the past couple of seasons catching the eye of Liverpool.

The newly-crowned Premier League champions need a new right-back, with Alexander-Arnold set to join Real Madrid in the summer.

Frimpong has played as a wing-back for Leverkusen and excelled in their Bundesliga triumph last season with 14 goals and 12 assists, while this season he has scored five and set up a further 12.

It is understood Leverkusen were first made aware of interest back in December 2024 and that has accelerated in the last six weeks since Alexander-Arnold told Arne Slot in March of his intention to leave.

Frimpong signed a mega-money boot deal with New Balance in January of this year with the manufacturing giant seeing him as a future face of European football.

Mail Sport reported that at the time and revealed that contract was worth around £20million, putting him in the same bracket as Erling Haaland and Lionel Messi’s deals with Nike and adidas respectively

If he goes for €40m and it is 30% on profit, which I think most believe, that's still €10m to us.

We're going to make more money from him than the huns will make from all outgoings this coming window.

I don't care about the media changing the story about this clause. What I do find funny is that the huns made a couple of million on Tillman, who was never their player.

Utter mince of the highest order.
