As an update on our resident Robins back now in our garden for a third year. It looks like mom's nest is complete or pretty close to it. She and her mate have been busy building it nicely in a crook of the tree the past few days so I am thinking any day now she will be ready to lay her eggs.

Yesterday afternoon on my local farmland one of the local Red Kites showed well and I heard a rustle beneath me in the vegetation and caught a wee view of a Bank Vole. Shortly had a lovely wee chat with a mother and son with their 3 dogs, she was sorry to hear about my Ruby Roo, expecting her to be with me. Yes a lovely wee chat.

This morning I got my first Garden Warbler of the year busy singing it's rich song on my local headland early this morning. I am going to one of my favourite valleys at the end of next week and with this fine weather continuing i should get a pile of fine wildlife deserving a few pints of cider in a cool bar.
