  1. Devastated for him, tougher one to come back from as a winger too.
Young enough tho, hopefully back around Xmas

    Gutted :(

  3. 9 months out that's a sore one hopefully he's back sooner and fully healed

  4. That's heartbreaking.

Hopefully he comes back just as good but it's always a risky one. Desperately needed a full pre season under his belt too.

  5. Buttocks and *

  6. Wit's the * chances a that....

  7. Back by Halloween best case scenario , January worst.
We might need 4 wingers this summer. Kuhn is a certainty to go imo . Maeda sold or played up top. Jota out. Yang who is injury prone and Jamesy , who is another year older and another pre season will be tough going in to his 16th season. Considering how important wingers are to our creativity , the recruitment needs to be spot on.

  8. So gutted about this, decent preseason would have him flying for Champions League play off.

Some players are never the same after an ACL injury, let’s hope it’s not the case for him.

  9. That's the danger. Some players never come back from an ACL to the standard they once were before, in many cases it is career ending.

We are going to need at least two wingers meantime.

Seriously... 6-9 months out... ACL's can be even longer. Farrrrk! On top of everything else that the guy has gone through over the past few seasons, he was really just getting back into the groove and then this happens. :31:

    Stay strong, Jota

  11. Genuinely devastated about this.

But trying to look at any positive that you can get, him being out that long, the type of injury being one that even when fit to return takes around another 6 months or so to completely recover from if handled correctly.

Then we need to approach the summer and signing policy as him not being here.

Kuhn I think already is 100% away. We need to then bring in a quality RW, a quality striker and a quality left winger.

It’s essential that we do now.

  12. Good pre-season and would have been better than before...should break bank for Kristgarten...Daizen back on wing but striker if needed and then another winger...

6 mths means missing 1st 2 matches of CL league phase.
9 months means missing all the CL League phase
Hope miracle happens and he gets well soon

A massive FFS. Really feel for him, us fans and the team.

  15. Hopefully all this is absolute worst case scenario....Hoping he is back for next season start

You usually here about these and they back sooner than all think

  16. Think that was more the olden days when they never knew what they were doing.

Nowadays i've never heard of anyone having any problem, Van Dijk done his at about 30 and still came back to probably best in the world level and is 34 now.

Naismith from the huns had done both knees by Jota's age and played the rest of his career without a problem.

  17. Terrible news, gonna miss him this year.

  18. Absolutely gutted for him and what a blow for the team. Was so excited about a fully fit with pre-season behind him Jota tearing it up next season. Now it looks like he may well at best be the equivalent of a January winter window signing before he is back in the team.

  19. Gutter but he’ll be back for the important part of next season. Barring the cup final we don’t have a game to worry about for 3 months or so.
