Nunez was less than Solanke and Liverpool will recoup a large chunk of that in the summer. United overpay for everyone including Hojlund. Duran had Saudi tax. Isak is world class so no point scaling off him.

Solanke isn’t worth 65 million and never was albeit he is a good player and is suited to an Ange side.

I think Solanke’s value was probably fair or not far off being fair in the premier league these days. At Bournemouth he’d just scored 19 premier league goals and he’s English so you add the English tax.

The closest comparison I can make is probably Liam Delap, different players and Solanke a few years older and at the moment the more prolific goal scorer.

However, Delap is linked with a few clubs like Chelsea and Man Utd and if he didn’t have a relegation clause of £30m, they’d probably be asking for £50m+ and get it.

I think Solanke is a good player, just not an elite premier league player or top 4/Champions league player.

I don't think it was a fair valuation. He's only scored double figures in the PL once (he might do it again). Not been very good in Europe either. Halaand is the only one of the top 10 PL top scorers this season to cost more than Solanke. 65m for a player who can't even score 1 every 3 games is poor. I'm just going to put it out there that Adam Idah scored the same amount of goals in Europe this season as Solanke, in less games and in a far superior competition.

Scott Parker has been getting linked with them.

He's done alright with Burnley this year but I wouldn't be happy if he was getting linked with Celtic.

If you’re looking at the top 10 scorers some of the comparisons aren’t really fair for value.

Not one of the players was a striker who is English and signed from another premier league side after having their best goal scoring season.

Isak had 1 really good scoring season in la liga and went for just under £65 million, other than that he’d not exactly been prolific.

Cole Palmer had never scored and barely played but was about £40 million.

Salah signed a long time ago now, Brentford (mbuemo and wissa) never spend huge and always look for upcoming players. Watkins is maybe the closest with championship record but had never played in the pl and broke villas record for about £30 million.

If you’re comparing with Idah, this is the first season he’s scored double figures in the league and in a season. His scoring record was * in comparison to Solanke in the championship. And if you’d prefer Idah over Solanke, then you’re lying to yourself.

His value is fair or close to in the premier league, in my opinion, because he’s English, he’s been capped, he scored well in the championship and then had an amazing goal scoring season in his last season with Bournemouth and Bournemouth were selling to a team they compete with. I would never have signed him for Tottenham but in modern football, his price isn’t ridiculous it just doesn’t make sense for Tottenham, when there are plenty of better strikers out there for better value.

Spurs don’t deserve to have success with him. Or with any *.

    Shocking support

The goal for Bodo near the end very much keeps that tie alive, Astro pitch and they’ve an unbelievable home record.
