He's been utterly exposed down there unfortunately.

See this Spurs we're too difficult to turn down. He was actively hooring himself to them for the last 3 months of our season here. It wasn't some opportunity that came from nowhere he couldn't turn down.

My theory is he’s promised Levy if he gives him the Europa League he’ll resign afterwards, which saves Levy money in compensation.

That deal would work out for everyone. If he wins the Europa League then walks out the front door it looks really good on him despite the horrendous league form.

Spurs get into the champions league and get a new manager without paying off the old manager.

Tend not to watch any English football but shoved the game on today…what a poor team spurs are. Liverpool are obviously very good but spurs didn’t look like they gave a *, shocked at how bad they were. With the cost of that team, just highlights how mad transfers are now. Feel for Ange but spurs have a weird sense of entitlement for a team that wins * all. Best for the big man to get out of there.

Has been shown up massively at that level.

Tactics are great if Ur the strongest team in the country but against teams of similar level or better he gets constantly found out.

    Far to idealistic and nieve.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him get schooled by Knutsen again either

I loved him here but i always thought that we would never become good in europe under him. His defensive game is a disaster. Must say fair * play to Tottenham for giving him a whole season in that league where managers get sacked left right and centre.

It was never going to end well for him there. A team like Liverpool or Man City he would have done well but Spurs don't have the players or mentality to play the way he wants.

Hopefully see him at a top team in Germany or Spain at some point where his gung ho football will be appreciated and expectations are a bit more realistic.

Think that's it in a nutshell tbh in the past he's either been at the big club or at least on a more level playing field with salary caps but he doesn't have that at spurs

    Totally agree with this.

I've seen him greeting on MOTD a few times this season talking about all the injuries spurs have had (he has a point here) but he still won't reign his team in and make them harder to beat.

That's stubborn at best or just plain stupid. At least try and get some stuffy points on the board, then go back to your principles when you have your better players available.

I think we currently have a better manager in Brendan.

ps I do still like the big aussie * though

Didn’t think he’d be a success at Spurs cos they are a basket case of a club, but * me didn’t expect it to be this bad.

The problem is that his style probably contributed to some of those injuries. We had injury issues too, lots of them. If you look at our Scottish League Cup final 2021 win with Moffat, Johnston, Welsh and Montgomery all on the bench at least. We had games with Monty on the wing because we were so depleted. In the second season you could see CCV and AJ playing with injuries. It was very high intensity and you need to have a squad to deal with that. Spurs clearly don't and tbh we barely did.

I probably wouldn't read into the league matches at the moment though, they aren't important. He needs to think about EL. Winning that is what gets him a good job post Spurs.

Aye still like him and hate to see what English media idiots are doing to him but some of criticism of his tactics is fair.

There was a game last year v Chelsea I think were spurs had 2 men sent off and he played a ridiculous high line on the half way line and they got ripped apart.

If ever there was a time to tweak it tactics it's when it down to 9 men

Also agree that with you on Rodgers being better manager. I know he had his struggles with Leicester but I don't think he'd ever be sitting 16th with a club the size of Spurs. He's also performed better in Europe with us and shown he can be more flexible tactically than Ange was and seems to have learned from his 1st spell here

Why would Ange agree to getting them into the CL and then walking away? In fairness, if they get automatic cl qualification by the cup winning route it's better than a high table position...

My guess is that he'll either win the el and get until January next year to prove himself or be sacked, or lose at this stage and be gone almost immediately...

Even if he wins the EL he's gone at the end of the Summer. I think Spurs get a torn a new * in CL with him as manager.

In my theory he would agree to it because the alternative was to be sacked at least a month ago.

Be excellent if he wins the EL. The big guy does deserve it, win that and walk.

That job is a shambles, he’s not the first to have a shocker and he won’t be the last.

I love ange and if Rodger’s did leave? I’d have him back without a second thought. His side has been the most enjoyable to watch in my lifetime.

However, I can’t believe he has not been sacked by spurs. The injuries are fair enough but the signings have been weird. Solanke, Werner, Johnson, Maddison, Gray, Odobert, Kulusevki and more. Huge fees for players who do not suit his system. I’m sure he has spent a few hundred million as well.

He’s had a little success with some players, Van de ven, Porro and Vicario but it also feels like none of them have been his signings. Maybe that’s how it works at spurs and if it is, they’ve made a mistake in hiring ange or not knowing the type of player he needs.

Anyway, he surprised if he gets much longer, definitely think if they don’t win the europa league he is sacked but also would be surprised if he wasn’t sacked before the final either, like Mourinho.
