    I don't think Ronaldo is the best player in the world. He's up their but not the best. At the moment I would say it is Messi. All time would probably be Pele.

    i think He's one of the best players in the world tbf.

    Messi is the best though, he's the best player since maradona for me.

    he was great, and always will be a great player.

    but he was no better than Gerrard, Riquelme, Zico, Socrates etc...

    infact mate, i agree, just thinking about it.

    replace Gerrard with Xavi, whom i think is absolutely brilliant.

    i think Riquelme and Zico are better than him, yet are incredibly underrated compared to zidane.

    Riquelme is unbelievable at times... the ball just sticks to his feet like a magnet. As far as best player in the world, it's hard to say... it depends on what you value. If you like game-changing ability Messi is up there, if you like consistency then you'd think in Xavi's direction.

    So I think I'm going to go with a tie... Freddy Adu and David Beckham. :icon_mrgreen::31: (for the percentage of Americans who would actually say that)

    Zidane has been far better than Gerrard or Riquelme. No doubt.

    Didn't see Zico or Socrates live, but i still rate Zizou as the best player of the nineties. He was spectacular, he was effective and he was decisive in the big moments. A big man on football history.

    Totally agree, Id say at his peak Roy Keane was best player in World, without him Utd would not have won half the trophies they did.....

    People talk about Pele but how many actually seen him play live a few times here, not many
    This is only from players I have seen
    Best Gk- BORUC,,,,lol,,,,only messing Schmeical(can never spell that)
    Best RB- Cafu
    Best CB- Cannarvo
    Best LB- R.Carlos
    Best RM- Ronaldo
    Best CM- Keano, followed by Zidane
    Best LM- Messi
    Best S- THE REAL RONALDO, if he had not got all the injuries would have been best player the world has ever seen, although still with the injuries is probably still in best 5 players ever

    The midfielder Senna for Spain was player of the tournament IMO and if you can produce at that level then you are the best in Europe.

    I don't watch enough football tbh compared to what I used to but recently what I've seen on TV, that guy is the best in his position.

    Best players to watch are Messi and the ex Arsenal Cleb or how ever you spelll it!
