A player coming in with a premier league experience

Still young enough to be a good option

    Can play a few positions

    * strange fanbase at times honestly

I'm content enough with this at this stage of the window, obviously we wanted towrney straight in and that'd have been ideal but under the circumstances I see no issue with an experienced epl player coming in to fill a gap for the rest of the season

Realistically what else are we going ot achieve this season? We won't get past Munich so.its just for cover league business. This is short term gap cover until KT is back, KT is about ambition

Bonkers ain’t it. Had we signed him last week and Jota out the blue tonight then they’d all being going absolute mental for it :56:

It’s like deadline day here means we have to sign 4 players and spend a ton of cash whether we need to or not just to make it “exciting”.

People go on and on around here about EPL being "overrated pish" but when it comes to signing over-the-hill, bang average players on deadline day, suddenly EPL experience means something.

Schlupp has barely kicked his * for the last year and a half and was never particularly a great player to begin with. He's not a Mooy that has a bit of class and magic in his boots. He's a workhorse - nothing more, nothing less.

Transfermarkt has him down playing less than 20% of his entire career at LB. So he isn't a natural there, nor has he played there consistently, ever.

So genuinely, what's the point in this signing for 6 months? Would rather promote an actual youth LB of ours. It just makes so * sense.

If Schlupp is coming in to play as an extra MF in Europe and we sign a ST and winger, it's an acceptable transfer. If he's coming to play second fiddle or to rotate with Taylor then it's * pointless, uninspiring, lazy and negligent.

We don't do forward planning at this club. It's a joke.

More concerned that he can cover as a winger, trying to cover 2 positions way this signing?

I didnt say that he eould. Its great to sub on a schlupp instead of scales at lb, or a schlupp instead of yang.

He have experience playing in the best league in the world.

I agree that we need more players though
