Not heard us really in the market for a CB which personally I'm quite disappointed with. Trusty's looked decent and certainly an upgrade on Scales, but to keep improving we really need both our CBs to be of a similar level. Much as he's had a good start Trusty still can't quite hold his place down and that's a worry. Could do with someone a similar level to CCV.

Just a pity he hasn't lived up to the price tag. Certainly not as good as MOR.

The board will be asking im sure why we have about 30mil of transfer expenditure sitting on the bench for an OF

CCV is an absolute Rolls Royce of a defender as we all know, he is undeniably in a class of his own.

But I am firmly of the belief that Trusty would well be a worthy starting partner alongside him for seasons to come with the right nurturing and development.

In saying that, I don’t know he can be expected to gain that kind of experience and maturity for as long as Rodgers fails to give him game-time.

MOR price tag was more than double Engels tbf.

    He'll develop I think

I’m not going to pretend I’ve not been as critical as Engels as everyone else at times, * knows that he has been a frustrating boy to watch…. even as far to say disappointing.

But at the same time, I think anyone trying to condemn him to the scrapheap or who already has one eye on signing another marquee box to box midfielder in January is fundamentally wrong.

The focus should be on giving our club record signing some backing and support- especially given the fact he’s practically only just in the door in the grand scheme.

Surely not Tierney!!! Forget the nostalgia. Sign him and we sign a physios nightmare, he’ll be on the treatment table more than on the pitch. His historical injury woe is testament to that. Additionally what kind of back up left back will we get? No player in there right mind would sign if Tierney is 1st choice!!! We’ve not built this club on sentiment.

If.our medical team pass him I would be totally surprised knowing how good they are. He will have tears all over his muscoskeletal system and when under strain and pressure it will tell

Lucky to get 20 games a season out of Tierney Id say. If hes happy to come up for modest wages maybe worth a punt. But still would need another LB and my fear would be Tierney would be signed as a high earner.

all of them bar Kenny for me.

Whys that a fear? A high earner is still not even the amount of juicy free interest we get from the bank balance. We're no skint. We can afford a good amount of high earners these days.

He averages about 25/26 games a season.

That'll do for me and after watching that * yesterday if you'd rather not see KT running through walls in games like that but instead watching our players * the beds, then more the fools you.

If we finish a window with , tierney , jota and another cm then for the money we received for them and to get them fairly cheap on there return then that would have to be a really good window , jota I think would be great in Rodger’s system but can’t see it happening

Think the board will have a wage structure that they arent prepared to pay over. High wages on KT would mean less wages to spent elsewhere.

Agree clubs in a financially healthy place now, but its still a relatively precarious model that relies on European football and profitable player sales to keep healthy.

Definitely wouldn’t take either; both almost 50.

Plus with Agathe on the right and Maeda on the left, we’d need to put a safety net up to protect those in row Z from their crosses.
