  1. For a guy who's physically tall he gets pushed around like a 10 year old and was * poor at one of sevco s goals allowing the wee sevco player to turn on him and shoot to score.

  2. Yes he contributes no one is denying that but the rest of his play at the moment is dreadful. Really needs to up it. Was embarrassing at their second. HAS to be much stronger in marking diomande. He's over 6 foot himself shouldn't be getting bullied like that. Delighted that he got the assist and scored the pen mind

  3. Done quite well of the bench. Gave it an away a few times though. He’ll get there I have no doubt.

  4. His all-round game needs massively polished up.

But I did expect that. However, I am losing patience with him a wee bit atm in terms of the basics. He's 6ft odds and needs to toughen himself, which again will hopefully come.

    Really poor for Diomande goal.

  5. He’s definitely a guy short on confidence. You could tell when he first arrived he had more swag about him, with people saying we weren’t missing OReilly he was that good. He needs to be given time to find himself here. He’s obviously a player and will come good but a young guy that definitely has a lot of development to come and no doubt will be aware that fans aren’t happy with his performances and I think it’s showing.

  6. Immense composure to set up Kühn for the third and again for his penalty. Keep at it big man.

  7. He’s frustrating at times but we need to give him time, look at Kuhn. I know we spent far more but still that’s not on him.

That one he failed to control in extra time was bad, got himself into a great position.

  8. I'm giving him a pass for that, the pitch was atrocious and everyone struggled with their first touch.

  9. Needs to put a lot more time in at the gym like Ajer did, far too lanky and weak.

  10. Good on the young fella for stepping up to hit a pen in the shootout. 100% think we've got a real gem on our hands with him, definitely still to see the best from him yet.

  11. Lightweight, needs a lot more physicality. No doubt he has ability, but gets pushed around too much. Strength and conditioning needed.

  12. Showed real bottle to take a pen, wasn’t sure he had that. The guy is probably aware of some mumbling of discontent about him, but well done son

  13. Aye been thinking that myself, the level of criticism he's been getting is clearly affecting him. It's written all over his face and body language. Just needs to try and figure out how to overcome it and he'll kick on massively.

  14. Sometimes he takes too many touches as well..

Noticed a few times on the break that he would take 2 or 3 touches when a wee first time pass or flick round the side was clearly on..

Needs to be quicker in everything he does for me..

  15. Can tell he has zero confidence at the moment. He will need time and being out the team is for the best at the moment.

Remember MOR was in and out the team for his first season and he didn't have to worry about a new country or style of football etc...

  16. The run he done similar for Kuhns goal away to Zagreb shows that he can develop into a good box to box midfielder. Reminds me of Stuart Pearson & Armstrong. I reckon we will see the best of Engels next season. Remember how Rodgers developed Armstrong into the player he is prior to when we first bought Armstrong under Ronny.

  17. Considering he's not been at his best, 7 assists and 4 goals is still a decent enough return so far. Lots to work on and I'm sure he will improve.

  18. I don't think Engels is a box to box midfielder at all tbh, and that is why we are not seeing the best of him imo.
We are trying to shoehorn him into a unnatural position because Calum McGregor is the sitting tenant at No.6, and it is not working and unnerving him.
If you watch his YT's with Augsburg, he is very comfortable and effective in the DM role.
