I think he'd be an amazing signing. Comparable talent level to Tierney.

Totally, the thing though you could feel pretty fast into the game that this was bound to happen. Hazard played a blinder in that.

I get peoples reservations but he'd be well worth the gamble imo.

There's few other left backs in our price range who have the same level of European and international experience as he does.

People have wanted a left back for about 2 years and constantly moaning about getting one in and when a decent one is actually linked he is being written off based largely off of one bad move where things haven't worked out.

His attitude can't be that bad if if was the captain of Alkmaar at 22 years of age.

A loan to buy would make a lot of sense here I'd say. Get a look at him and see if any of this is actually true. We badly need someone in.

At this point I'd take anyone who's better than Bolingoli, Bernabei or Laxalt.

  5. I wouldn't be interested in him, how often do Ajax have one look at a player and think absolute dud and get it wrong? you'd not imagine very often. There must be something wrong with him, not got the bottle or mentality.

Only 2 assists in 49 League games for Ajax and Antwerp even though he's meant to be an attacking player.

Way to risky. A rotten egg can easily destroy the harmony of a whole team.

Maybe Ajax is just a * club?

Remember, our new record signing was literally just the other week fined for missing a flight for a game....

Don’t get the hype tbh, could see him get sent off about 3x a season in Scotland

Ajax are an absolute basket case right now.

I wouldn't look at anything they've done since Overmars left and think too deeply into it.

Sosa and Wijndal would both improve us easily yet they've got them in the reserves.

Loan with decent option would defo be the way forward. Think he’d definitely improve us. And thats what its about.

Ajax have been ran horrifically the last 2 years, as bad as the huns imo.

Would happily take many of their reserve players, if Wijndal went to a more competent team after leaving AZ I honestly think he'd be a top, top fullback now, he was incredible at AZ.

We can't be complaining about the lack of movement and wanting a LB to take us to the next level then complaining when we're linked with one, if Wijndal was doing good at Ajax we'd have 0% chance of getting him. He is 100% worth the risk, he's rapid and was excellent at attacking, only 24 and he'll be under an elite level manager.

Definitely this, look at Georges Mikautadze, bought for 16m only played 6 games in the first half of the season, loaned back to metz, banged the goals in, they exercised their option and sold him on to Lyon at a tidy profit.

Aye. They finished 5th last season. 35 points off the top.

    3rd the season before that.

Can't we just get a LB who is first and foremost a good defender?

This is an absolute no brainer if it's loan to buy.

Out of all the names that have been mentioned for left back to replace/compete with Taylor, this Windjal looks the best bet to me.

I think there could be something in this.
