Hes the Portuguese Joe ledley. Sure he's not gonna be doing fancy tricks n show pony pish, but he's be quietly going about intercepting the ball and scoring into the zombies net. Thatll do me.

Get this done by Sunday or move on

  2. Also set up Idah to make it 3-2 at Ibrox, and was him that was direct pushing forward and shot that rebounded in the final to score the winner late on.

He has a higher level in him than what we seen last year but I seen enough talent, work rate and big moments at times from him, and with his tail up for small batches last year he looked unstoppable as well.

It reminded me of Eddy’s loan behind Dembele, he wasn’t the starter, had big moments showed a lot of talent and enough for us to make sure we get him.

Bernardo’s a * player I think, a real good player. Honestly if O’Riley goes I think he stands up and shows his worth, but I’d still be trying to get more than him in of/when MOR does

  3. Only just read that he was still training with Benfica. Thought this was done. So basically we’ve only confirmed we’ve bought a young keeper so far?

    Pretty much.
As the week started all seemed to pick up, as week is ending, seems the Bernardo and idah deals are every bit as far away (however far that is), that they was last week, two weeks or three weeks ago.
The Kasper deal is fresh news this week, but with yet no confirmation as the week nears the end, it is literally a league 1 keeper as backup to no one that we've signed.

Every faith Bernardo signs at some stage, but the fact he's still out there training with another club, tells you it's not as close as believed.

  6. Would rather We just move on to other targets, Very average player at best and definitely not worth waiting another few weeks to try and get in.

  7. Aye just move on when every outlets saying it's agreed and he's on his way to us.....which was never in doubt..

What a clown of a boy..

  8. Only thing that has been agreed between two clubs is the transfer fee.

Negotiations going on over sell on fee and wages, nowhere near finished.

Seen the other day wages were agreed so probably just sorting out sell on percentage and it’s done and dusted

  10. Agree with everything you say there. I would add in while he is not the same type of midfielder as Turnbull who was more a 10 I would still be of a mindset that he is a hoped for upgrade on and replacement for Turnbull within our central midfield squad options.

Lads he's payed by Benfica to play football for that club so why wouldn't he be training or playing with them?? "Sign by Sunday or gtf" * me.. some of you need to chill

MOR is the subject of a bid but is still in yankville training and playing with us.. same with a few players I would say..

Apparently the clubs have agreed terms just down to personal terms..

There is an agreement between clubs and the midfielder discusses salary with the Scots; Benfica keeps 30 percent of the transfer fee

Paulo Bernardo was one of the few players who did not play in the first two friendlies of the pre-season, as he was discussing the details of the transfer (contract years and salary) with Celtic. Everything is agreed between the clubs, and Benfica will receive a fee of less than €4 million for the midfielder, but will reserve 30 percent of his transfer fee.

Paulo Bernardo, 22, was loaned to Celtic last season, and made 33 appearances (15 as a starter), scoring four goals and providing three assists. He trained at Seixal this week, but is not expected to travel with the team, which plays Almería in Thonon-les-Bains on Sunday

  14. You don’t captain the Portuguese U21s side if you are an average at best player. He is a very good player who will continue to improve and will become a mainstay for us if he signs permanently. Those that know the game will have seen enough last season to know he’s capable of playing to a high level.

  15. There have been multiple captains for the Portugal u21s who have been average.

  16. €4m Euro with a 30% sell on is decent enough. Happy with that.

Let’s get him on the plane and get him signed up to a long term deal.
