Pretty much this. Even if we pay 6-7 million, he have already made up for that by winning us a league and a cup.

I've watched him play for Ireland for a few years now and thought he was a bit bland as his scoring record wasn't great so I wasn't over the moon when we signed him but I also said I hope he proves me wrong and he's definitely done that... he's certainly improved and hopefully will keep improving...sign him I say!

Not afraid to state I wanted Idah to start, although was hoping Kyogo would have made a pest of himself against their defence.

You can see how integral it is for any team to have a forward up front who is strong, tall and can hold a ball up, as well having good feet, be able to score and hassle opponents.

Worth every penny at this stage...

Both have different attributes, although I feel like Idah would learn a lot from Kyogo (eg his movement for the goal was classic Kyogo ants in your pants movement).

It's really important that we have two different strikers imo. Horses for courses.

I don't care how unrealistic it is but I want Idah, Miovski and Kyogo next season.

We have the money to make it happen.

I have a feeling Kyogo will be elsewhere next season.

Certainly wouldn't be against having both Idah AND Miovski either way though!

I'm really not sure about Idah, often looks average at best and sometimes slow even a bit lazy.
Then (like Killie game) he's looks great at times.

It really depends if he would be the only major striker signing, if so we should be aiming higher and has to to be better than Kyogo, not his back up.

We also shouldn't base any judgement on one goal in a cup final - remember we've also had Dion Dublin and Perrier-Doumbe score cup final goals!!!

5 months is a long time in football.

    He's certainly answered the critics.

Who is judging him based on the cup final alone? I’ve had my doubts about him, and he’s not the finished article, but he’s done more than enough to warrant a move. If we didn’t sign him in January there’s no * hope we’d have won a double this season.

What do we think Norwich are gonna ask for him and what are we likely to pay?

Norwich never put an option to buy in for a reason, either bcoz they want to keep him or because they wanted to maxmise their fee.

Given the impact he's had over the last 5 months I wouldn't be surprised to see them asking for £7 - £10m.

Would we pay Edouard money for him?

Personally I would, I think Rodgers would too. Our board.... I'm not so sure

Good business I think if we can get him for that. Would’ve loving him as an option in the CL this season. Perfect option up top next season if we can sign him

Celtic are ready to give boss Brendan Rodgers what he’s after as they prepare to push the button on the signing of Adam Idah.

The Parkhead gaffer made it crystal clear on Saturday that he wants the striker back next season after watching the Irishman fire the Hoops to Scottish Cup glory. And Record Sport understands the Hoops hierarchy are committed to fulfilling their manager’s wishes. It was the on-loan Norwich ace’s last-minute winner which sealed victory over Rangers and completed this year's Double triumph

And it wrapped up an impressive six-month stint in Glasgow for the 23-year-old that saw him bag nine goals in 19 appearances - with that vital haul including key strikes at Easter Road, Ibrox and Rugby Park as Rodgers’ side stormed to the title. Idah’s Carrow Road parent club — understood to be looking for a fee in the region of £6million for the Republic of Ireland hitman — are still without a boss after sacking David Wagner

That might yet complicate matters if their new gaffer decides to take a look at the Cork-born striker before the new season. But Celtic are working on the assumption they will have Idah back helping to lead their attack as they take on the cream of Europe in the Champions League.

That will delight Rodgers, who could not have been any more fulsome in his praise of the frontman after watching him * the Hampden headlines. He said after the 1-0 win over Rangers: “The board knows how I feel about Adam, that was the reason for bringing him in.

He’s been a real catalyst for us, especially over the last few months. He’s a big game player. In so many big moments, he’s stepped up to the plate for us.

“I’m so happy for him - a boy from Ireland, a striker scoring the winning goal in the Scottish Cup Final against Rangers. Wow. What a summer he’ll have

I don’t know if we’ll get him in the summer, the board will look at it. My talks with Adam will remain private because there’s a lot of work to do. But he knows my feelings and so does the club so we’ll see what happens.
