He's a big happy laddie, I've seen it in the flesh!

Hence my request for more aggression in this squad!

Same number of league goals as Dessers.

His game has been killed by our dross style of football.

Dessers would score more goals in this team

Said this before it's down to him. Managers don't change their style of play to suit players. Players adapt.

It's the same reason he can't even get in a 26 man Japan squad

He's a good player but when he's off it he's proper *. Needs taken off pens too unless he's gonna learn to bury them.

Offered absolutely nothing today, always cutting inside. Get to the bye line and get your cross in. He also comes in too narrow when we are building the play. I’d maybe cut him a bit of slack due to the bombscare playing behind him who has no idea what the * he is doing.

I'll once again do this dance with you. Managers should adapt to suit the players at their current disposal until such times that they recruit to suit their own way of playing.

We all have our preferences, but I just don't rate him.. goes missing all to often... Shouldn't be a regular starter in any sort of decent Celtic team.

All of our wingers push up as high and wide as they can and wait until the ball is played into their feet when they face up the full back 1v1 and end up cutting in. Its a recurring theme.

We dont move the ball quick enough to exploit space and get in behind defences. Its so plain to see.

If you look at the Killie match at Rugby park, for spells Palma was miles out on the byline on his own just passively standing on his own.

Palma doesn't have the pace to run in behind, it's not his game, Kuhn looked a bit more promising running at the fb when he came on so we'll have to see how he goes, but for all their faults it's something Taylor and Maeda have nailed down when they play together, slipping the ball down the channel between the cb and fb to run on to.

Running in behind doesnt mean only with the ball. It can mean running into the space ahead of him and looking for the through pass.

If you look at his highlights from Aris, you will see that he is perfectly capable of playing on the counter and exploiting space.

Its a recurring problem in our team now that we are not getting our forward players running into the space behind the opposition defence, with or without the ball.

And I'll do it too. Players who can only play 1 style of football and don't adapt their game don't get picked in 26 man squads for Asia cups.

But I do agree we desperately need to recruit a replacement this week

Abada, Palma and Kyogo were spinning and running in behind quite a bit today but never got the ball, which is the issue.

Rodgers on sportsound after the game essentially said he'd be off penalties now.

Palma and Abadas first thought is to pull out high and wide onto the touch line where they wait and eventually get the ball to feet.
By this time the full back has already made an underlapping run without the ball, pulling more defenders into the box.

If they dont get the ball, their next action is to make a diagonal run off the touchline between the opposition full back and centre back.

We dont exploit the space in behind near enough and we need to start having more intensity and playing direct passes which break the opposition lines.

Imo like Haksabanovic he's not a winger and would be more suited to playing behind the striker, rogic role. Would mean a tweak in formation but. Doubt that's going to happen.
