i heard celtic where giving trails to a Couple of korean players heres a bit of info on them .

    Park Chu-Young

(Article on Korea Youth in the FIFA World Youth Championship)

Spearheaded by Park Chu-Young, Asia's Young Player of the Year, Korea Republic confirmed they have a crop of players rich enough to threaten the traditional world powers at this level. Six goals from Park, including a brace that helped down China 2-0 in the final, steered the young Taeguk Warriors to another regional title at the Asian U-19 Championship.

Coached by Park Sung-Hwa, Korea Republic also defeated China 2-0 in their opening match, before overcoming Ukraine 3-2 and losing 1-0 to Norway. Two goals from Park helped them defeat Algeria 2-1 after extra time in the semis before they drubbed Japan in the final.

Teenager Park Chu-Young, top of the tournament's scoring chart with nine goals, was named the Most Valuable Player.

"I have watched him closely for many years, and now it seems that his potential is finally blossoming," said Choi Song-Ho, a key member of the national team at the 1986 and 1990 World Cups. "

Aside from his deft skills and good stamina, he has a cool head and moves intelligently."

Park Chu-young is unquestionably one of the most vital pieces in the Korean puzzle. With six goals in six matches at the AFC Youth Championship, he won both Golden Boot and tournament MVP honours. That performance went a long way to seeing the player crowned AFC Youth Player of the Year for 2004.

    Kim Seung-Yong

Korea Republic's U-20 team claimed the AFC Youth Championship for a record 11th time on Saturday as a brace by Park Chu-young gave them a 2-0 win over 10-man China at the Cheras Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Park struck twice with in the space of seven minutes late in the first half as the Koreans put on their most dominant display of the tournament against the previously unbeaten Chinese.

Park Chu-young and Kim Seung-Yong had been pin-pointed by China coach, Yin as Korea's main threats and the two forward proved to be a constant menace with their strong running constantly stretching the Chinese defence to breaking point.

Korean skipper Kim Jin-kyu went close as he headed wide but the defending champions were not to be denied in the 44th minute as Kim Seung-yong flicked the ball into the box with the outside of his right boot towards the onrushing Park who fired a first-time shot which gave Guan absolutely no chance.

    Kim Jin-kyu

(From Paraguay 1-1 Korea Match Report)

The Chunnam Dragons center-half headed his side's equalizer less than two minutes into the second half, after South Korea fell behind through a penalty just before the break.

It has been an eventful week for 19-year-old Kim Jin-kyu, who is a prospect to fill the gap in the center of the backline.

    All of them!!!
First I've heard about Korean players on trial at CFC.

Unless they are full internationalist won't there be work permit issues???? Reading the report they sound like teenagers, and unless they are free agents we can't sign them until January anyway. And if they are as good as the report suggest, what fee are we asking for them????

another market the board are trying to tap into,we shouldn't be bringing in players just because me may sell a few shirts in the far east, first off these players have to be good enough to wear the hoops.I might sound negative but i don't want my club devalued football wise

Never know usually nothing comes of these kind of trialists bit of a lotto but as Bruce Forsyth says "You gotta be in it to win it".

Don't like the road we're going down with our signing policy!!! Maybe Desmond has given up on our switch to the Premiership and is contemplating a switch to an Asian league to gross more income for his hard hit SHARE INVESTMENT(note, not his finacial contribution). Me no like this one little bit!!!!!

What do you suggest, more average, overvalued premiership players on extortonate wages?
