Other side of his game is brilliant too. Dunno how many times he’s closed the RBs down or tracked all the way back and put in a tackle.

He’s got lovely side foot pass inside too, nearly always pulls it off.

Him and O'Riley are our only real creative outlets but he was poor i thought overall..

    Nothing he did came off..

Relying on them heavily with Hatate and Maeda/Abada out.

Never really done much although at least his deliveries were getting into the box. Less said about Mikey Johnston the better lol

Can't help but feel a better LB and LCM = more effective Palma.

Palma with an overlapping FB would be amazing, I think having Taylor behind him is a massive hinderence.

Not that he's faultless, he's definitely blowing hot and cold this season, nowhere near our list of issues but he does lack consistency.

He's one if those players where you can tell in the first 5 minutes if hes interested or not and more often than not he ain't interested.
    Waste of money.

Issue with Palma is lack of pace so he needs a left back to support and centre mid to make channel runs, just like the KT, Sinclair & Armstrong combo that worked so well.

For most of the season he has had GT and Turnbull who are slow and offer no real threat 1 on 1 which essentially nullifies Palma.

I like him but in games like today you need a fully fit Maeda who will work and run like *.

Very hit or miss type of player. You know after his first attempt to beat his man whether he is going to have a good game or not. Will never replace Jota

Had to double check what thread this was, Palma we talking about here? For a not interested waste of money, he’s got some return for us so far. Including a couple of CL goals,

Really poor today but again isn't helped by the left back who wants to play anywhere but left back.

His lack of pace makes him an easier player to defend against bcoz teams know he's not gonna go by them on the outside so they can push him inside where extra defenders are. Having a left back going beyond him would make him a far better player

It's mental. People forget even Jota didn't perform every single week. Wingers are inconsistent by nature. Palma has been one of the brighter parts of our season and will only improve.

There were at least 8 worse players got a run out yesterday. Palma off and Taylor and Bernabie on the park. Jesus * wept

    You know, * it.

Put Maeda at LB at let him just run up and down the left side and give Palma an out as that mad * just zooms by.

Can't be any worse than * Taylor right now and at least Palma has two options of predictable play rather than one.

He really needs help but also needs to be a bit less predictable. Frame needs a shot behind him,or even Bernebei and just let him not worry too much about defending.l

A lot of it stems from how slow our build up play is as well though. Seemed to be left 2 on 1 quite a lot yesterday because of it.

    I like him a lot.
Some good left footed crosses today and 2 assist.
Technically gifted, growing in confidence (on verge of cockiness at times)

I thought when I first seen him play he was going to be trouble with his * y swagger. But he isn't as arrogant as I thought he would be
