3-5-2

I would love to see us use this formation more as it would suit our current squad perfectly- what do you think?

 

no sure, we're * defensively so with one less player it would be worse probably.

MON used this a lot, but we had Joos, Mjallby and balde at the back, with agathe bombing it up and down the wing, we don't have players like that anymore.

Would love to see us play 3-5-2 but dont think we have the players to do it ie naka and aidan tucking in as full backs if need be?

 

3-5-2 would just make us very narrow at the back and you would find a lot of teams would be gettin easy goals created from the wing.

im not sure,
if we had the likes of balde back in defence then that would probably be superb.. i mean the defence isnt Bad.. but if you wer 2 play 3-5-2 , the defence could be a bit risky..
up front i think we have no problems, we have some quality players there..
but this is just my opinion anyways.

Name one decent team that plays 352? 3 cbs get exposed because they aren't protected. You will never be successful with that formation.

 

we play 4-4-2 ,we will continue to play 4-4-2 as the manager favours it .end of chat surely.

 

TBH 3-5-2 would NEVER work with the players we have, and at the moment our back four arent very good, so to want to take away another defender right now would be madness. Ok so it would work on fotball managere but never in the SPL never mind the CL. Sometimes fans live in a fantasy world. Saying that football is all about opinions and people will probably think I am wrong

like 2 see that but u need a * fit defensice mid to play plus a solid defense. I'd like 2 see that only if we've won the league with games to spare and during pre-season as celtic have been playing 442 for too long now to change it during the season

 

I think there is a chance we will see us play with 433 occasionally (in europe and against the huns), althoug i'd be tempted to use this now we ahve signed Maloney:

I wouldnt like to see us with 3 at the back, we'd be too exposed out wide, and aiden + naka track back?? noway.

I would like to see a kind of 4-1-4-1, Crosas in the hole, aiden and maloney out wide, naka with brown/robson/hartley in the middle, and one of the big lads, preferably Jan up front to hold up play and knock in the crosses.

Hows that sound?

 

I hate seeing 3-5-2 brought up on this forums!

Honestly the only team I've ever seen using 3-5-2 was MoN in his first season or two. Even then we only got away with it by having 3 outstanding centrebacks, 2 world class holding midfielders in Lennon and Lambert and Didier Agathe bombing up and down the wings!

No team uses that in this day and age - if you think the midfields the problem then maybe switching to 3 battlers in the centre of midfield might help....
