His agent will have feelers out, if anyone was going to give the same wage we do and a sign on he'd be off, just don't think the offers are there, so why take the risk that you 'might' get a another decent deal when you've got a year of money to sit on.

Surely would be better for his career to go take a deal somewhere else albeit perhaps on less money but actually playing football instead of sitting wasting away

Shaun Wright Phillips at City, sat on £65,000 a week (and that was back in the day)....who wouldn't! Everyone banging on about..Oooh no one would turn down the money Jota was offered..you're lying if you wouldn't go to Saudi with that money offered..well it's the same with sitting on a big fat wage...almost all of us would...even Bale did it.

The issue for him personally is how much of a drop is it.

He's still on about late 20s. He's not gonna get anywhere near that in his next move.

Don't blame him tbh. We gave him the contract we can't moan when he says he wants to see it out.

I understand that and don’t blame him when we gave him the contract but he’s 26 years old, surely you would have some ambition and want to go and play football somewhere. Not like he’s at the end of his career like McCarthy

Winston Bogarde was the top man for it, 4 years at Chelsea on massive wages and they tried for years to shift him but he was happy and turned up to every bit of training and was the consumate professional there, the was getting paid far more than he'd get anywhere so sat it out.

I have no hate to Ajeti if he does that here, I was excited when we signed him and his initial run was fantastic then that injury against Hibs and he never did anything for us again of any note really. If he's here I'd expect him to put an effort in while being here, I'd prefer and I do expect were trying to move him on, he's no the right type for us, but il not cry it's the worst thing ever if hes here the year and gives effort in training.

Have no issue with him, it's us that have to learn the lesson from this. He is an individual that has to look after himself. Why would he take a wage cut to appease us? Hopefully get him out on loan again to cover at least some of his wages.

The reality of this is backing a poor manager (Lennon) without a clear plan for how we'll use him is what's cost us here.

If someone said to you to leave your current job if you were on £2k a month and take £300 a month would you do it? After your currently employers had given you said contract.

The guys a waster but his priority is to maximise his career earnings, no one will pay him what he’s on now so he’s never walking away from that

Yes we gave him the contract, but he's not performed when called upon so why the * should we allow him to sit in his * picking up his unearned wages. Put him up for sale and take a hit if needs be. Get this * out the club quickly.

The same ones giving this guy pelters for having the audacity to see out his contract, are the same ones who would be vilifying him if he was banging in 30 a season and wanted to leave for another club.
