Who could we replace Ange with?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Danny 4692, May 25, 2023.

As I said previously, Knutsen and us quite simply slot together like * Lego pieces.

A ready made squad built be Ange that he can utilize. A good chunk of change to bring improvements he deems prudent, CL football, cheap(ish) fee, a good Japanese tour to bond with the squad etc etc...

I'd be seriously * disappointed if he's not out No1 target.

I’ve read several times that Ajax are in for Knutsen so we’re unlikely to get him.

  4. Why?

  5. I've also read that he doesn't want to leave Bodo during the season

  6. I also read about a million times on this forum that Ange was never leaving :giggle1:

  7. Its an interesting point,do we want someone who will walk out on a team mid season?.

  8. I wanted Rodgers - but seeing how split the fans are that won’t work

having looked into all the others I’m firmly behind
    Knutsen
Plays the exact same way as we have been playing. In fact he gave ange a lesson in it when we played them

I always think you can get lucky with a team and have a few generational talents then a manager wins things, but then flops when he moves on or looses the players
That’s not the case with Knutsen, he’s lost loads of players, recruited new ones and still kept winning

comes across well in his interviews

If we get him I’ll be excited

    They’re a bigger club.

If he's the right man, yes.

Ange would have walked in March if Spurs had approached him then.

  11. Bet any money we end up with a very underwhelming appointment as manager .Always * it up from a position of strength

  12. Knutsen or Iraola would be way better appointments than i had initially thought we would make … i would be delighted with either one!

Knutsen or Iraola straight shootout would be ideal for me. Both fit the bill in terms of style of play, still lots to prove and we can offer them the carrot of CL group stages.

He was * hot against us, gave Taylor a horrid time. Sure he was noising the crowd up though

  18. This is my worry.

Just like Rodgers can't spot a player, DD seems incapable of using the proper criteria to pick a manager.

He had chased names like Roy * keane for years, thought that bringing back NL to get 10iar over the line was a good idea, and seems for concerned with whatever his own metric of "integrity" is, over the reality of what a modern manager is.

No doubt he's disappointed at losing Ange. But I can see him now turning to a "Celtic minded" option.
