20 years ago WOW! One of the best and worst experiences of my life. The whole build up to it, the week in Portugal and walking up to that stadium green and white everywhere and walking into the stadium was one of the proudest moments I've ever felt watching us with my da and cousin. Green and white everywhere. Just a pity we where cheated and had an inexperienced ref on the night because without them two, wed have won that. Walking out of the stadium back to the car where we slept was the most depressing I've ever felt leaving a match. I was * drained.

With that all said. I'd do it all over again if given a chance and tbh, I think we will.

I've never watched that game again. Too painful.

I was there, but remember * all. Had to watch the game again when I got home, sunburnt to buggery and feeling sorry for myself. Ahhh the stupidity of youth.

I know some fans that went there had a enjoyable experience apart from the result and I prefer to forget it just like Milan 1970

Couple of us went out in the Algarve away from the adults (was 16) and came back in the morning steamboats, fell asleep by the pool and was burnt to *..

Had to wear trackie bottoms in Seville when we drove down. Was a nightmare as was the hottest day in Europe or something, was ridiculously hot..

Every beer even at 7 in the morning was roasting hot as soon as you brought it out by the square..

That feeling after I'll never live it down. Never watched it back and never ever will..

Wouldn't be surprised if its the only European final I'll see us in in my lifetime :90:

Rab Douglas FFS . And Balde * was he playing at ? Still think we would have won it if Hartson had played.
Still hurts after all this time.

The third picture with the crowd is one of the best footballing pictures you'll ever see.

I mind getting off the plane and jumping about like a * at the fountain, mind pulling my pal out from almost drowning. Then a huge blank, I was sitting spewing all over myself in the stadium, I must have been absolutly honking going back to the hotel, woke up in the shower, in my boxers surrounded by about 6 bottles of water and all sorts of fluids ...... Best 3 days of my life! Lolol

But aye one thing I do mind it was * el scorcheo. 70-80k celtic fans in Seville, not one bottle of suncream between them. The next day between heatstroke and a hangover everyone you saw was in the exact same state, a peaky shade of sunburnt greeny pale white, just grunting because no one had a voice box left and just taking life very very slowly haha

My Seville ticket was cheaper than domestic cup games.

We flew from Prestwick-Stanstead, then to Barcelona, where we got the train down to Seville. Not the right result, but what an experience.

I remember walking around Cork that day and, to my slight surprise, there was lots of Celtic tops around the city :shamrock:

The result was disgusting. Hated Mourinho, Deco and Baia ever since.

On another note, Rab Douglas was always the weak link in that side, IMHO.

When you play a brickie in goal, what else can you expect ? That was always Martin O'Neil's weak spot, he could never find a competent goalkeeper.
