    then he's a *.

unless he supports man utd or chelski, no other cluv in england is anywhere near the size of celtic. I posted on this a while ago. If we had their money and their league, we'd be top 6 within 3-4 years.

obviously they think like that, no offence but english people generally think like that. George Graham put it perfectly in a collumn I read which was labelled "why do people think we should win everything? we're nothing more than a quarter final team". English people think England are the be all and end all of everything, they are the creme de la creme of everything, and that's simply outrageous. Tell him to watch Man Utd bs Celtic and Old Trafford, the best team in England we were only beaten by a dodgy penalty decision, which was never a penalty. tell him about the Uefa Cup where we put out Liverpool and Blackburn on our wya to the final.

Celtic are a massive club and will never realise their potential. Let's just say we finished 15th in our first year, we'd have around £30m.. We'd be singing players for fun. Spurs wouldn't have gotten Modric and Dos Santos, they would be in the hoops, * like that.

It's the smaller clubs, like Everton, Spurs, Villa etc who don't want us in the prem, Arsenal, Chelski, Man Utd and Liverpool would welcome the challenge.

We can't attract players due to our league, but in terms of club size and support, we're up there with the best.

P.S - i'm a little drunk so it may not make a lot of sense atm..

I 100% agree i love dortmund, and they seem to know celtic too!

when i was in mexico a wee boy and his dad were playing with a BVB dormund beachball and saw me in a celtic top and shouted over we ended up having a great chat about lambert etc great guy.

plus any game can go either way in that league, * 2 seasons ago one of the relegated teams had the top scorer.

I agree there the Bundasliga is very entertaining ,and all the games always have big crowds aswell even if it is the two bottom teams playing each other the staduim is always full well most of the time,I do like the Bayern as they have players i like such as Klose and Toni, and wee philp Lamb.

If I had to chose one it'd probably be Stuttgart -- it was nice to see them upset Schalke for the title in 07 if only because Schalke wears blue (I hate teams that wear blue -- internationals not included.) But I say this with some reserve, hoping they don't have a dark history I'm unaware of.
Also like Frankfurt if only because they've been good to the asian players they've had -- even with Takahara acting like a little girl (after leading the team in goals he threw a fit and went home when they bought another striker for competition. Now he sucks in Jleague too and has lost his spot on the NT.)

That sums up the situation very well, The Middlesbroughs Fullhams and Boltons of this world would be dead against Old Firm entry into the EPL because it would put their access to the "honey pot" at great risk.

There is no where other than the big 4 stadia in theEPL that even comes near to equaling Celtic Park and even then The Emerates and Stamford Bridge never seem to have much atmosphere. West Ham is the best London ground for passion from the fans.

As an Englishman I get very frustrated with the Premiership, sure it is one of the Worlds top leagues its Clubs recent history in the Champions League supports this view, but for me where it really falls down is the damage it is inflicting on the England team, because with so many foriginers with their noses in the Premiership trough it is getting more and more difficult to find good eligable players for the national side. Scotland also had this problem in the late 90s and early 2000s during Skys sponsorship of the SPL.

And, just in case anyone is wondering, I am not one of these Englishmen who think we are going to win every major international tournament, personally, I am just grateful when we qualify, which recently has not been a given!

However, I will only ever be an interested spectator where the Premiership is concerned, why? Because Celtic are not in it, simple as that. SPL standards have risen sharply in recent seasons.

It's a bit hard to bring in players when you only have about 12 million compared to 50 million. Thats all the premiership is about now. MONEY !

When their EPL attendances and Sky viewing figures crash through the boredom of watching the Chelsea/Mn Utd monopoly they will be begging us to join to freshen things up.

    Then we'll feckin see.:celt_2:

I live in Yorkshire and get the same * from knobs who support teams like Leeds.
I give them the facts; 60,000 watch our home games, we take more fans away in the CL than any other team, 1967 (no need to say anymore)! Then i list the X Hoops who have took the epl by storm! DeCanio, Pier Van, Viduka etc.... Then if they still go on i just punch them!
    Hail Hail

It just comes down to the usual English imperialist arrogance. There is a cultural arrogance that produces a superiority complex within England. They still have a we ruled the world and are racially better mentality about so many things including football.

At its highest percentage in England, German descent runs at around 45%. The rest is the original paleolithic people that re-inhabited the Isles after the Ice Age (ie different forms of "Celts") I don't think there is anywhere in the isles besides Shetland that has below 50% original paleolithic ethnicity. I always find it funny when they talk about Saxon supremacy and they aren't even Saxon.
