Providing he’s fit it’s Mooy and there isn’t really any debate to be had about it either.

Tbh the team picks itself at the moment and deservedly so. Since coming back from the World Cup both Mooy and Maeda who’d not have previously been guaranteed starters have played themselves into just that.

Ange made a big error not starting Mooy in the last Derby and there’s no way he’ll make the same mistake again.

It's a tough call and would be happy with either but voted M O'R as Mooy has missed the last 2 squads and Matt has been on an upward trajectory in form. I think he offers a bit more in pressing as wel

O'Riley is a better presser and more athletic which I think will be important against their midfield - which will no doubt try kick ours off the park.

I suspect they'll try and utilise that Raskin much like we do with CalMac, although obviously Raskin is nowhere near as good or as experienced as CalMac, but looks fairly tidy on the ball nonetheless. So O'Riley would be more effective at stopping him making those quick passes through the lines. Although I don't think Ange will worry about their players too much.

At the same time Mooy will give us a lot more control of possession which should stop the game from becoming chaotic and scrappy - which I think Rangers will want.

Really is a toss up and depends whether Ange prefers the athleticism and pressing or the control at the start/ end of the game.

You blokes bagged Mooy at the start and then he became the best player in the team and now you want to leave him out of a cup final. beggars belief

The main reason I think he is being left out is he hasn't been playing the last few games, no player can go into this rusty, we need to be on it right from the off. Would have no complaints if Mooy started though

TBF, the poll above does say 76% want Mooy to start.

Watching Mooy’s career, I’ve noticed when he comes back from short injury spells, he doesn’t come back rusty, so that shouldn’t be a concern.

Haven't watched his career but I'm sure Ange will know what's best, happy either way but with the limited information available I am slightly favouring Matt

Absolutely Ange knows best and will see both in training, it’s just a debate/opinion between fans/friends.

Am I missing something? Mooy has only missed one game and as a precaution only so I don't believe he has any fitness concerns. Probably was a good thing to freshen him up given the amount of football he has played recently, especially at his age.

I voted Mooy but one thing that does concern me was that he didn't have his best game against St Mirren when they put him under a little bit more pressure than he's been used to recently. It goes without saying that this game is a good test for the whole midfield and a chance for all of them to press their case for being good enough for champions league football. I know it's a derby and that changes things slightly but if you can't compete Rangers you will certainly struggle to compete against most Champions league sides.

    Mooy all day long.

If he's fully fit of course. Great headache to have, but Mooy is the man on form, he's finding the back of the net as well, he's got power and plenty of dig.

I think he could be the new silent assassin hunskelper.

Would be happy with either or tbh, O'Riley gives us a little bit extra physicality which will be needed but Mooy's ability to thread balls through to the front 3 is key. He's the more experienced out of the 2 as well and never looked out of place against the likes of France at the WC so Mooy edges it for me..

Mooy but O'Riley could still have a big part to play off the bench.

    I'd go with Mooy

He seems far more likely to still be playing his best game an hour in than Matt
