Not that I particularly rate either Patterson or Bassey mate, but in fairness they're both under 22 years old. Youth massively inflates the price tags these days. That said, I'd have thought we'd have got a ball park figure of about 11 million for Jurki. Awk well. We move.

They're a bit of a 'project club' aren't they? Getting bankrolled by Berlusconi with the view of challenging for europe in a year or two. So I don't think it's all that surprising, he'll be getting paid a fair wedge over there. But he's at the age now where you'd think he'd want that one BIG move to another iconic club playing in the top 5 leagues....thought he had slightly more ambition.

The next Juve then, will be bankrupt with shareholders going to jail for tax avoidance within 10 years.

He's achieved a lot to be fair, won Scottish and Polish leagues and will likely get another medal, got a cup too. Played in Champions league, Euros and 3rd place in a World Cup.
His career took off late, maybe wants to get good money (Monza will give him that) from his last few years while still playing football to keep his international place.

Would be incredibly disappointing for us a club regarding the fee.

But if the fee is so low I'm surprised more aren't putting in serious interest to take such a low risk gamble compared to what they would normally outlay

Mad price if its true. I'd have thought we'd get double figures for him.

Still if he wants off then fair enough, we're better getting rid of him. I think they should pay up front though.

    I don't trust that Bellosconi

Mark Hendry (football scotland) suggesting the 7m price tag isn't quite right. Think he's usually quite on the ball with Celtic news.

7 million for him would be a robbery tbh.

Bit of a steal aye, but all in all profit is profit. If we can bring in 3 players with that money I feel its good business.

Possibly a £7 million release clause - which is not good business from Celtic if true. Get the feeling a club bigger than Monza will still come in for him. Although he's nowhere near as good as some would have you believe, after watching his attitude and performances for Celtic recently comes across a bit of a * drip, very poor attitude. In short - Get the money and get him to *.

    Something strange here..

Still no convinced about this 7 mill fee..

How can there be a 7 mill release clause yet they wanna loan him first?

It does some a bit off.

It doesn't seem to add up.

The loan is so if they do get relegated they are not stuck with a player on high wages in the lower league where they make less money. The reported obligation to buy is only if they stay up.

Should be double that, he's got ages on his contract, absolutely just knock that one right back. No need to rush a deal now when we can look for a better one come the summer.

Torino full-back, Valentino Lazaro has suffered a knee injury - and could it spark interest in Celtic's Josip Juranovic.

The Serie A side were one of the first clubs strongly linked with the Croatian full-back after his stellar World Cup campaign, although league rivals Monza have seemingly jumped into the favourites list.

Lazaro will spend the next two months out with a knee issue though so Torino may be forced into the market for cover.
