In the current world of football...Ange seems like such an anomaly.

There is just nothing like him out there. His character, the way he speaks, the charisma and his ability to control media of Scotland which in itself should be seen as some sort of godly superpower.

As a man, I 100% believe there is no better than him, now of course there will be European managers with a bit more tactical nouse but will be half the man Ange is so it becomes a game of which you prefer.

Once he's done with us, I could see him tearing up leagues wherever he lands. For argument sake if he landed in the EPL and was with a club like Spurs, he probably won't win the league, but he'd most certainly get them trophies which for a club like Spurs would be more than they have been used too.

I'd argue he'd be able to take over the state of Leicester as it is now from Rodgers and improve them.

I think in the end, what we will see is the snobbery that will continue to exist in the European game meaning guys like Ange who are honestly diamonds in the rough, just never being found.

When he goes, the next manager will have an impossible task in trying to replace him

It’s only taken me till now to get over Henrik leaving. (Just about, but still a piece of my love for football is dead).

If Ange goes then that’ll be the end of me!

Ange being Ange I would reckon he would recommend his replacement - if he leaves on good terms.

Let’s just enjoy the best manager we have had in a long time. The guy is a class act and represents us in the best possible way. I love him and his jumper.

Kewell the manager is hard to judge based on the jobs he's had which have all been hidings to nothing. But one thing is clear, the gulf in experience between him and Ange is VAST. He's basically a novice and unless he comes across as utterly brilliant behind the scenes, I don't think it's a realistic proposal.

I believe that all the coaches from all levels should be aspiring to implement what ange does all the way through the club and academy. If we want to produce players who play to the level ange wants it needs to be done early. Would be awesome if someone came in from the ranks knowing what is expected and put their own stamp/twist on it. But I think once ange leaves the philosophy will end up going to. And it makes me sad

I really hope that if Ange is ever to leave, we are looking at Carlos Corberan from West Brom. Cracking young manager who play exciting attacking football.

If going down the continuity route you would keep and give to Kennedy when the time came

Next year Robbie Neilson will be getting sacked from Hearts. A direct move across with no compensation. Perfect deal.

Kennedy shouldn't be given the job ever again, he absolutely * his chance with his interim run.

I can accept that a good manager can get a tune out of him as a coach, fine, but no chance is he suitable to be manager of us

As for Scott Brown, he would need to do something somewhere to show he has what it takes to be a manager for us. Just going through the routine with Fleetwood wouldn't be enough and would be a worrying sign of things at the club again/still

This sort of question though is exactly why we need/should have a director of football. DoF would have a list of potential candidates to replace Ange when that time comes, one that would be able to come in to the club and continue the success built, ideally playing a similar style and able to utilise the players already at the club. Not needing to do full rebuilds and changing the style of the football club every 3-4 years.

    Did he really though?

Aye, he could have played it less safe, but he played (on paper) his strongest team - I'd have done the same incase I was for the sack at the end of the season and at least I could justify to potential employers that I played the best team I could - albeit the one game against Hearts at CP (I believe) he played a few youth players and we won something like 4/5 nil.

I'd actually be interested in the idea of Kennedy being manager when the day finally comes that Ange goes.

While I don't feel Kennedy should get the job I don't really blame him for what happened. There was obviously a rotten atmosphere which I think was down to Lennon and Lawell. By the time he took the reigns it was just rotten to the core and I think it was a limited squad. Griffiths was too fat to play, Bain was our best keeper, Jullien injured, neither loan full back seemed to work, Duffy wasn't mentally fit to play and the recruitment in general that season was * awful.

No manager for the future, just give Ange a big contract.

No chance I'd want to see him get that gig again.

He played it safe and continued in the same vein as Lennon did, he showed little to no ability ro change things. I get the idea of playing it safe to not screw up your chance, but when you've been part of the team that * up as bad as the Lennon setup was, surely you come out and do something to prove you're not just the same as the last guy.

As you said, there was 1 or 2 moments he showed flashes of it, but he reverted back to Lennon style in an instant and showed no ambition or adventure in setting us up different.

Any managers with first team experience as a manager, that have had as much time as possible under Ange within Celtic would be ideal.

Hire from within when what has been created is what you are trying to replicate and improve upon, not reinvent.

I don’t think Kewell is ready, hasn’t got the experience yet, and Celtic is not a place to learn on the job.

Ange has left a trail of assistants behind him over many, many years, who of them could be candidates?

Or ideally, which assistant within the club, could be promoted to the role?
