Is this really a thing? Can someone explain this tactic in detail? I know that Gio is apparently the master of both The Dutch 433 and The Dutch 424 , but im genuinely interested in what it is?

I searched this last year because they were saying it so much, apparently the attacking style of play Ajax and the Dutch national team played in the 70s(80s?) that was also refered to as 'total football' a lot, just one of those evolutions of formation/style that happens in the game over the years and makes a team really stand out when they get it right or at the forefront of it. I guess simliar to how Barca's setup and tiki-taka style set them apart and had everybody else playing catch-up for a bit adapting to it?

There's never been anything to suggest gio would get them playing good attacking football though, they just convinced themselves he would because he's dutch so he must play an attacking 'dutch 4-3-3'.
