Two weeks in and it's already baffling. Incredible how that handball last week wasn't given, yet the one today was.

Thought that was a farcical decision today. Never a penalty.

I think it was a penalty today. As was the one last week we didn’t get. The boys arm today is away from his body. I’m still not convinced we would have got it had it been 0-0 at the time however.

Was called ou on sportscene last night too, and I'm in total agreement with it, this ultra slow motion, freeze frame pish need to stop, as you can make the incident 100x worse than it is, when you see things in normal time they look minimal slowed down they look atrocious. Just do a quick search on YouTube of things in slow mo like a ball hitting someone in the face, looks brutal in real time it's just a skiff.

Tony Watt’s red card has been rescinded.

Honestly this has become a * shambles. VAR should be used for offsides only at this point. They’re not equipped for anything else.

The point of VAR is there shouldn’t be any post-match changes. The * gaslighting that “VAR won’t get it right every time” is * unreal. Did the video * change between VAR reviewing it and the compliance officer reviewing it or something?

    Absolute disgrace.

They’re basically saying their referees are so bad that even when they review an incident using video they can’t get it right. What hope can you possibly have when you admit that?

As predicted, VAR is showing us what we all knew. The Referees are - at best - grossly incompetent and at worst blatantly corrupt. In my opinion it’s both.

Having seen some of the penalties given over the past couple of weeks, it's even more blatant as to why we didn't get one at Tynecastle.

Var has well and truly destroyed the game. Can’t go on about teething problems any longer when it’s been in use in other countries for a couple of years and it’s still such a controversial talking point. It’s made the game totally unwatchable for me

Going by the way VAR rules ...last night's handballs were penalties....just shows you that them two * the other week at Tynecastle were 100% cheating.

Celtic have asked the Scottish FA for an explanation of the handball controversy which blew up after their 4-3 win over Hearts.

The first weekend of video technology in the SPFL triggered a row when the champions appealed for a spot kick after the ball struck the arm of Tynecastle defender Michael Smith before half-time

VAR official Steven McLean reviewed the flashpoint and decided against advising match referee Nick Walsh to take a look at the pitchside monitor

As the decision was criticised by manager Ange Postecoglou and sparked fury amongst Celtic fans, chief executive Michael Nicholson admitted the club had sought answers from the governing body.

It’s easy to get caught up in individual decisions one way or the other,’ Nicholson told shareholders when speaking at the club’s AGM on Thursday.

‘It seems that handball is applied in different ways in varying countries.

‘What we have as a club – and all clubs in Scotland have it - is an interest in having the best possible match officials and regulation of matches so we can focus on football.

As we mentioned last year – and as Ian Bankier almost got into trouble with – we have for many years lobbied the SFA and the SPFL to make sure we got the best match officials possible.’

Grinning, the Celtic chief quipped: ‘The first step with that was pushing for VAR – which worked out well.

‘The second stage was to raise our concerns about VAR with the SFA.

‘In relation to the specific incident (at Hearts) we did ask questions about how the rules had been applied.

‘I think it is inevitable that with the early stages of VAR there are going to be some teething issues.

‘But you can rest assured that we do continue to press that issue with the SFA and the SPFL.’

Teething issues don't wash for me VAR had been in place for a fair few years now around the globe. If the SFA were competent enough they would have brought in retired officials to teach the current refs and linesmen months ago to get used to the software rules etc or been training them ruthessly on VAR with their licence revoked if they were not at the standards required. Teething issues is just a * poor excuse for deliberate cheating to continue.

You wouldn't expect someone working in a timber yard wth no joinery experience to be trusted to go build your house, so why are refs doing it on the fly.

Teething issues are being slow to use the software and hardware to view incidents.

Teething issues are not watching the replays and getting the wrong decisions. That has nothing to do with teething issues.

The ref goes over to the monitor looks at it and still decides to give a penalty, that's just blatant cheating it's not even incompetence.

Another game where we're first booked as well..

Booked for no seeing the ball and having it headed off you from close range and arm's no even outstretched. Lol..

Giving no foul yet checking for a red card offence when Sibbald followed through on Jackie's chest. Easily our freekick and a yellow..

Let Fletcher run around pulling and being a * all half..

Yet we're the only booking of the game. Comical..
