    Similar to the 2014 WC.

Created chances, players not good enough to take them. Naive defensively.

Deserves credit for the first. Deserves criticism for the second.

The press is not our problem. There were a number of opportunities created by turn overs, our final pass and our finishing is what cost us.

Sadly I think the occasion gets to some of the lads, overhit passes and shooting straight at the keeper won’t win us games in Europe. Look at Kyogo’s finish on the weekend, where was that today? Real were clinical, it’s that simple.

Then add in a ref who is giving fouls because they are Real Madrid players, it makes life difficult at the top.

When you look at it in the overall scheme of things, we are currently sitting on a goal difference of 33 from 12 games domestically, the GD is on track to beat most goals scored in the domestic league. The SPL needs to step up and create more competition and a better product overall because currently the step to CL is massive.

Tbf when your the manager of a country like Australia and you just don’t have the players to take them, no really much you can do about it, can’t go out and buy better

    Sevilla ended up losing 3-1.

More often than not, constantly surrendering possession to really good players isn't a recipe for success. This campaign has absolutely highlighted areas we need to improve, but we'll have to find a way of doing that without compromising the things we're actually good at, such as playing on the front foot and creating lots of chances home and away.

We’re on the correct path, the entire club needs to stay unified behind him.

From the money men backing him, the coaching staff, the players and ultimately the fans.

When we are back at the top table next season we will have improved, no doubt about it.

I do think we'll be better but he does need to tinker with his philosophy at the top table.....otherwise it'll be the exact same as this year..

It's to be admired at time's but this quick goal kicks at 5 down when we're dead on our feet and high press when we've been slaughtered, gung ho approach, needs to be tempered a bit..

We competed in all the games aside from tonight’s.

Not more you can ask for. He can’t control the finishing.

Were so so close to being s decent team at this level. Alot of our boys are virgins at this level and will gain valuable experience.

The press itself for me needs adjustment. Its to scatter gun to wide and to much space between the lines.
If you press, keep it compact, move up as a unit to nullify the opposition soace to cut you open.
Or sit a wee bit deeper and press in your own half.

Ange needs to watch other teams at our level in the comp to see what they do.
Dont Change the principles, just tweek them a wee bit and make us harder to beat.

I think Ange has to learn to alter his philosophy when it is needed. Just like he eventually
bent to the incessant demands from the support for a DM ( Abildgaard ), he will have to bend
also to the demands of the supporters, to adapt and be flexible and pragmatic with his tactics away from home.
    No man is an island.

The press is non existent. It’s loads of players sprinting at the ball in no particular order.

I love the way we play in possession, but out of it, our shape is all over the joint to a massive extent.

It works domestically as we can overwhelm teams, but when technically proficient footballers start to string three and four passes together, it’s only going to go one way.

The stats and heat maps suggest otherwise.

Aye plus the fact they had already won the group and played a second string after pumping them 4-0 Seville, Sevilla have been dread this season with their style of play

So are we having a democratic voting system for the fans to decide Ange’s tactics and signings?

‘Bent to the demands of supporters to sign a DM’, Laugh Out Loud, I don’t believe Ange brings 0.1% of his decision making on transfers to what is getting yelled from the fans, thankfully.

If you want football democracy, join Ebsfleet United and MyFootballClub, wait that’s right, it didn’t work.

He's set out his stall with a specific way of playing and hasn't altered from it despite substantial pressure. Today would have been the perfect time to trial a more pragmatic philosohpy if he was ever considering doing so. He'll only diverge from his way of playing when the goodwill's run out and the jig's up.
