Can’t really judge coming on that as he’s hardly played and was thrown in at the deep end. Done some good defensive work though.

Has to play on Saturday and get a good 60/70 though if McGregor isn’t going to make it for Tuesday. We should know by then how he is.

Actually liked the look of him. Sharpen him up in the spl and he'll grow in confidence.

Just needs match sharpness I think. Could see he can read the game, but his lack of games meant he was too slow when in possession.

Baptism of fire that. Ideally both he and McGregor would be starting European games along with hatate as the 8 but that’s more than likely out the question now too.

Rusty as * but showed what he can do. Worried how stiff he looked when Szoboszlai cut in and scored.

Good chance for him to get sharper at the weekend.

He put in a few challenges that no other player we have would. A prime Mccarthy maybe but that doesn't exist.

He looked very rusty but I liked some of the ball winning he did which is something we don’t have in our current midfield.

It would be harsh to judge him on that game but I do think we should have had him some game time before this. Has to start Saturday along with Haksabanovic.

I liked the look of him last night, and he is a big unit too. He can only improve.

Should have had more mins in his legs by now but ah well. Here’s hoping he gets up to speed asap

Possibly Ange, like everyone else, taking Cal for granted and thinking he didn't need to rush Oliver into the team.

There is a player there I think...

Thing is most our guys seem a bit off the boil right now but if anyone needs dropping it's O'Riley. Which feels so * harsh as he's probably so determined to make a mark and try and get a senior call up for Denmark in time for WC.

Otherwise there is no chance Abildgaard ever gets serious game time as McGregor barring reds and injuries is never getting dropped.

O'Riley is never making the world cup on this form. His best chance is to forget the WC and focus on the here and now for his club.

With Cal out Rogic and Bittons experience in midfield is a big big miss for us. I Wonder if at least one might have been persuaded to stay on if Ange wasn't so stubborn about not convincing players to stay if they show an interest in leaving? Maybe not Nir as he seems to have had his heart set on going home but Tom seems to have had stuff going on in his head that lead to his decision, maybe could have been made to see that maybe a change of scenery wasn't what he needed.

Cal can't be expected to carry everything on his shoulders and not tire or make mistakes. Eventually our other midfielders need to step up and help him out. Abildgaard could be that man, but needs more game time first. Mooy might have the right mentality but too much of a skill and fitness gap between him and McGregor. Hard to know with Ideguchi we have seen so little of him, but what I have seen suggests he is capable of leading.

Let the Hungarian come back on his strong foot to smash it past Hart and couldn’t shield the ball to save himself. Passing a bit iffy as well, but so was every players really.

Hopefully much better to come, needs to improve a fair bit. Should get a run now with the injuries piling up.

Hindsight’s a great thing but also Oliver shouldn’t be kept from getting mins in his legs because of mcgregor… cos that’s not mcgregors position.

    He’s a defensive mid and mcgregor isn’t.

I didn't like the look of him, but then I was overwhelmed with disappointment and frustration at the fact we were being very Celtic in Europe.
He did give the ball away twice within 10 mins of being on though.

They play in the same position.
