Does a banner hurt its little feelings?



How strong of a monarch can you be if 1 banner is making you question yourself so much, that you have to forbid it?

I might agree with the sentiment and think they should have every right to wave the banner, but it's not what I'd be doing personally. Bit of respect and all that.

I come from a very anti-royalist culture so you might understand my rage

We kicked out the monarchs in 1499, that makes it a bit hard for me to understand why certain nations still use this medieval form of government. Especially as in the meanwhile, the enlightenment gave the people all the arguments why it isn't the best option.

 

Respect for what
A monarchy who love their history and continuing bloodline knowing fine well they outlawed Catholicism and killed preachers of that faith

How long do we usually wait to find out if any fines for banners or whatever are being dished out?

 

No chance the game gets postponed at the weekend. It's no as if St Mirren fans are mad royalists. They'll no be giving a * either. Don't know about their hierarchy, mind.

 

I agree with both of you. Yet I also agree with your detractors whose sentiments are perfectly correct. Thing is, I just wish the politicking could be done elsewhere by those who regard it as a major part of their lives. I'm a Celtic fan and want us and the team to continue being recognised as world-class.

Wouldn't it have been so much better last night if the team had come out to a banner such as the 'mighty fist raised to the sky' one? They'd be even more pumped. As it was, I imagine some of them looked up and thought, 'Christ, my parents are going to see that...'
