Can't complain. Madrid are class.

 

Really proud of the Bhoys tonight.

The scoreline flatters RM - we just didn't take our chances.

We're moving in the right direction troops.

 

I think we’re all shocked at the Shakhtar result. Can’t believe that, group wide open, who knows where we’ll finish. I know we’ll give it a right good * go, some really positive signs in that first half.

That first half showed the improvements and how close we are to being a real danger against elite side's..

Fine margins but Madrid showed their streetwise class and quality second half and why they're champion's..

Loved the first. Was as good as anything I've seen from a Celtic side. Second half was tough to watch after the back to back goals and it killed it stone dead. We massively ran out of gas..

Onwards and upwards..

 

That first half performance was something else, we matched the European champions, *, I think we were better.

Going to be a lot of "What if's" over that Maeda chance, but Real Madrid are something else, some quality goals.

 

We gave them a game.

The best team in the world atm

Every individual player in their team costs more than our full team combined.

Barely a year ago we wouldnt even have dreams of having dreams of being in the position we’re in just now.

 

Leipzig keeper done a mcglaughlin special had a mare .heads down after that

 

Next 4 games in this group are our level ..shakhtar was watching on tablet look rapid .we play next so hopefully they think they just need to turn up against us ..and we give them a fright ..

 

Under Rodgers that would have been a mauling.

3-0 flatters real madrid tonight...we start games like that going forward and we will blow teams away.

In the end Real Madrid are * reigning champions and serial winners who just have this knack under Ancelotti of getting opposition teams to wear themselves out and just pick them off in the second half.

We lost three goals but for large parts guys like Jenz and CCV looked * immense, McGregor hit the post. Hatate and a stinging shot annoyingly got straight at face of Courtois and Maeda was just unlucky to not be in the right body position as the cross comes zipping him for him to get away.

Abada had a couple strong chances as well...we've done so much better than I thought we would tonight.

* the scoreline. There was enough on show for me to give me hope that we could actually get out of this group.

 

Outclassed by the best club team in the world tonight. We gave it a go and fell short, no shame in that. They have some talent in that team.

If we can turn up like we did in the first half against Shakhtar and Leipzig we will at least finish third in the group.

 

Outstanding effort. First half was as good as I've seen from us in Europe post-MON. We didn't take our chances and they took theirs - when it got to 2-0 our heads dropped a little and their third goal was class. It can happen to anyone - they did it to the top, top teams last season.

So much to be positive about from that, we can look forward with real confidence of taking points of Shakhtar and Leipzig.

 

They were absolutely purring 2nd half. What a team.

Hope the lads aren't disheartened by that. We competed

 

Got to give Celtic credit there. Excellent first half. A lick of paint from a goal and a couple decent chances in first and the one from Maeda in second. They're the European champions tho. Real could have went up few gears in second half tho, tired Celtic legs out there but still happy with the progress.

 

Leipzig won 1 lost 2 drawn 2 they are in free fall by looks of it

We might if got beat 3-0 but I really do believe after that we can qualify from this group. We play Madrid last game. They’ll be well through at that stage. Hopefully they play the ressies

 

Proud of the effort tonight . The intensity levels dropped in the second half but we have to take into account the opposition. Confident for the next 4 group games.

 

Yeah, I expected absolutely nothing from this. Very happy with the first half. Love GG, Abada and Maeda, but they are not elite level players, so they miss the big chances.

All of this is immense experience for the whole team though. As long as they learn from their mistakes great things are on the way!
