Frimpong realised that majorly and made his move, and I can’t blame him. We kept giving him the ball and just standing waiting for him to skin 3/4 players instead of giving options.

People thought he had * end product, and suddenly had good end product in the Bundesliga. Forget that players need to make a move to be on the end of a pass as well…

Frimpong under Ange would've been absolutely frightening I think. People forget how good he was for us in the first half of that season.

Anyway Bernabei was exactly how I imagined him to be. Can't wait to see more of him.

The season before when he came in, first half of the next season was when we expected far too much.

Weirdly though, don’t think he’d suit Ange, not a guy I’d want as an inverted full back.

Could he be the answer to our left back prayers?

Honestly, probably will end up like that but I reckon for the first half of the season Taylor will be first choice, he’ll get bedded in gently and our fans will be outraged about it and the hype for him to be first choice will go through the roof.

He’ll get first choice when he’s settled, we’ll all say told ye was so obvious and ignore the fact bedding him on to adapt is the reason he’s been able to be * hot.

    How’d he play yesterday?

Feel like we’ve not heard anything about him. Probably a good thing.

Looked dynamic, had some nice touches, but gave the ball away cheaply a bunch of times. But he’s just in the door, getting used to the surroundings.

Aye he had a pretty poor game but these sort of performances happen in pre season, especially when he’s just in the door to a completely new football club with huge pressures.

His passing was poor, so was his delivery and his defending wasn't the best.

Other than that i thought he did well. :giggle2:

Bit better today. Definitely needs some polishing and more games to integrate into the team but had a few nice ideas attacking wise.

He wasn’t great but I liked some of his movement. Did not have much to do in all honesty as most of the play went through the middle

    It takes time.

Imagine moving to a different hemisphere, no one speaks the language, it’s a highly competitive team, they play fairly specific and specialised tactics, you’re immediately shipped off to Austria for pre-season, Greg Taylor keeps cracking * jokes you wouldn’t understand even if you spoke English.

He’s probably passing the ball today while thinking about the text his girlfriend sent him about a flat available in ‘the shawlands’ and wondering what the * council tax is and why he only pays it for 10 months.

Half way round the world and straight into games. Started slow but getting better every game.

Plus we have Taylor so no need to rush him. He'll be a great signing for us.

Seems pretty much like what people who watched him described.

Would be a worry going into the CL with Taylor still being the preferred option.
