Provisional squad: Marshall, Telfer, Balde, Camara, Zurawski, Maloney, Petrov, Hartson, McGeady, Boruc, McManus, Wallace, Beattie, Gardyne, Wallace, Lawson, O`Dea, Nakamura, Virgo, Pearson, Agathe, Thompson, Lennon, Du Wei.

Nakas doubtful, only returned today and long trip and a knock seems to have taken its toll.

Start with a similar midfield to the Dunfermline game and it will be over by half time. Fast, fluent football with plenty of movement destroys these teams.

easy win for us , the dons have many injuries and wont be fielding their strongest team .
as for us we' starting to find our form from the midfield up but still a bit unsure with the defence, shouldnt be a prob though. 4-1 .

Come on, do you really mean it? If Celts are unsure about a home game with Aberdeen, it means something must have gone terribly wrong lately.

    4-0!...

    ...at half-time

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan will be sweating over the fitness of Japanese star Shunsuke Nakamura ahead of his side's Scottish Premier League clash with Aberdeen on Saturday.

Nakamura picked up a knock during his country's 5-4 win over Honduras but also endured a long round trip.

Captain Neil Lennon returns to action after serving his suspension, as does Alan Thompson, while Chinese defender Du Wei is also included in Strachan's squad.

Other good news for the Bhoys is that Didier Agathe, Stanislav Varga and Shaun Maloney all have a chance of playing, while striker Chris Sutton has returned to training.

Aberdeen, meanwhile, could hand a debut to striker Stevie Crawford but manager Jimmy Calderwood has concerns over the fitness of defensive duo Russell Anderson and Kevin McNaughton.

Goalkeeper Jamie Langfield, defender Michael Hart and striker Darren Mackie are confirmed absentees however. Eighteen-year-old Greg Kelly will provide bench cover for 'keeper Ryan Esson as a result.

Celtic (from): Marshall, Telfer, Balde, Camara, Zurawski, Maloney, Petrov, Hartson, McGeady, Boruc, McManus, Wallace, Beattie, Gardyne, Wallace, Lawson, O'Dea, Nakamura, Virgo, Pearson, Agathe, Thompson, Lennon, Du Wei. :shamrock:

Southampton defender Claus Lundekvam is ready to give up the prospect of a cash-cow testimonial at St Mary's in order to join former manager Gordon Strachan at Celtic during the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old Norwegian told the Sunday Mail: "There was real interest from Celtic but they had to sell a couple of guys before I could go and that didn't happen.

"I would have been keen to play for them if an offer was accepted but it wasn't to be.

"The fact Celtic are a massive club and Gordon is boss would have been factors in me wanting to go there.

"I know him from his time at Southampton - he did a great job for us.

"Of course I would consider going to Celtic in January if they still wanted me.

"It's my testimonial year so it would be a hard decision but I would definitely look closely at what they had to offer." :shamrock:

Celtic defender Bobo Balde has committed himself to the Scottish club and re-endeared himself to fans - by tuning down the chance of a free-transfer move to remain at Parkhead.

Balde has received criticism from some quarters after lining up a move to Marseille that eventually fell through. Now it appears Balde is happy at Celtic and reaffirmed this by declining the option of a free transfer.

Chief executive Peter Lawwell revealed: "He had the option but we're delighted he didn't take it.

"We wanted Bobo to stay because we wanted him to help push on for the title and because it was too late to bring in a replacement.

"So we signed the contract and agreed to his request for a get-out clause.

"Our rationale was that he would be here, he would be paid no more, and we would have him in the title run-in.

"We would be in no worse a position in this window than if he had not signed the contract.

"Basically we were happy to do it and have no regrets - other than we did not win the title with him." :shamrock:

Straight out of the Pravda press Bureau!

Bobo tried his best to get out of CP to some other mug who would pay top dollar for an average at best player.

But none were so gullable as us, to pay him these absolutely ludicrous wages.

    He is a sham.

Agreed, he's a * disgrace. It's obvious he wants to leave and I hope he does.

He's not as good as he * thinks he is!
