CCV for me. Think he is more important foundation to the team and harder to replace

Sign both a 2 mill each 15% sell on and a further 100 mill in future bonus fees depending on appearances and international call ups.

There... screw your either or option.

Jota has been a gamechanger on his day but I'd still go for CCV just based on tmhow important that position is for us.

We had this same thread not too long ago. It’s Jota for me marginally.

Thankfully for the club they two players will decide it for us as i would think one of them at least will go back to their club.
Jota back to the club he supports or ccv back to epl wages. Its a hard choice but for me with our defence being so poor for so many seasons i would spend the money on ccv if he will stay.

I don’t think that’s true at all, especially for us.

We’ve had our fair share of notoriously pish defenders while having an abundance of amazing players who create and score over the years.

CCV, but he’s not going to be available for 6.5.

Our defence is still * in Europe, but these players are learning to play the way we play. A new winger is easier to teach this style too than a defender so probably CCV. Either though and ill be happy.

CCV. He is one of the only players in the squad who provides a high level of strength and physicality, something we sorely lack in other areas of the pitch.

Unfortunately I don’t think either will sign and it’s not the transfer fee that’s the issue as both would be able to be sold at a profit.

The issue with Jota is Benfica is his team and if they have made promises to him, I think he will go back their and give it another go only to be sold shortly afterwards for more than our buy clause.

CCV if a EPL team comes in for him it will be wages. He’s on £20k a week at the moment and we would probably be looking to match that Leicester, Wolves, etc will at least double that if not more and be offering EPL football next season. If I am honest I think he may struggle there as we have shipped some amount of goals in Europe this year.

If I had to pick one probably Jota.

Jota. But it’s a bit like saying out loud in front of the family who’s your favourite kid :giggle1:

CCV, delighted if we signed at least one in the Summer. I never hold my breath with the board though!

We’ve still no clear evidence that a fee for CCV would be as high as that. It was widely reported - both at the time we signed him and again in late December - that £3m buys him.
